I've seen some folks swap out for the Braille light weight battery.
Helix is a NAM sponsor that sells it.
360 cold cranking amps

It is about 1/3 the weight of a typical battery. I'm not sure what typical battery people have swapped for.

Van just replaced the battery several weeks ago. Same specs as the BMW battery original unit. naji of Autosport, ex-stock units.

Van,
I replaced mine with an indonesian brand as I couldn't find a better battery that has our specs/size. I can't remember the size either, so my post is useless!

mdsbrain,
The braile looks good. But if we we're to import something, it wouldn't be a battery. We'de rather bring in go fast parts or accessories!

But it is a "go fast part" in that its 20+ pounds lighter then a typical battery.

Ed,

Dito lang sa may planta namin. Just check your manual, I believe nakalagay yung model ng batt natin. I think its DIN55 or something to that effect. Just tell the battery shop that and alam na nila yun size and amperage. Alam mo bakit pasira na batt mo? Di mo kasi ginagamit MCS mo eh, hehe.

Yan lang ang battery alam kong namatay sa "pahinga" John's correct, you've got to push your car a little more. two things can happen to your car if you re-sell it, A) High re sale value, hardly used kasi, if compared to golf clubs, the sweet spot's NOT used. B) really low resale value, because there will be a lot of busted parts that need replacement, that is hardly used! I remember a friend of mine that fell in love with the Galant GTI so he bought a VR4, maintained the two, but he loved the power of the VR4 , he hardly used the GTI, it died a natural death. First it got flat tire without leaving the garage. His gasoline became stale. The air/breathing system gave in, and had to replace parts......... then the rest started giving in.

hehe.. pero na discharge sya kasi my mechanic left the lights open ata sa loob.. and even if i'm not using my mini that often, i make sure that everything's okay every now and then., from tires, shocks, engine oil, fluids, etc etc... and running it every week... d bale, gamitin ko na mcs ko lagi... by popular demand.

I am trying to check if we have the Deka lightweight battery here.
I know they carry some of the other models here.
