When i look at all the classic rally Minis...they always have these white lines on the front windshield. What are these for? Are they some sort of guiding system for cornering or something

I think they're for the rider to frame a picture better ! Just kidding !!
If am not mistaken, they are for the electric defroster ! Is more efficient than blowing air on to it.

It isnt uncommon for rally cars to have markings on the windshield so they can gauge where the car is so they can do what they need to get it around some of the rather tight turns
