Bolt Pattern?

What is the wheel bolt pattern of the classic Mini?
Did they ever use 12" wheels?

bolt pattern is same as the new MINI. Yes, they came in 12 inch from 1984 I think.

The classic Mini has a 4x4" bolt pattern. I believe that's 4x101.5 or something like that, but it's *not* 4x100.

They came with 10, 12, and at the end, a 13" wheel. I know you can get the 10s in 10x3.5, 10x4, 10x5, and 10x6 - even a 10x7 or wider if you get a "race" wheel. I think your tire sizes are limited there though - 145 and 165 are the only widths I've seen for a 10" wheel in street tires.

Latka is correct. I think 12's are generally harder to find.

If I was going to jump, I'd go to 13s. I've heard I'm better off with 10s though...specially for a MK I Cooper S - that would just be blasphemy to have that car with anything other than 10s. Then again, I'm planning on running AO32Rs once I get her in better shape.

To put anything other than 10" on a Cooper S you'd need to do some modification on the bodywork. Larger wheels would rub the inner arches.

I always thought that it was if you wanted to put anything wider than a 5" wheel you needed the arches. I was under the understanding that with the MKIV, Minis came with 12" wheels and the same body...the 13s require cutting though.
