Can any of you explain to me what is meant when people announce that they have their new MINI and they ask for their wings? Is it just an avatar or something? Or do I really get some sort of badge or something??

I am totally clueless....

 

I think I want skillet to get his mini as much as I want mine to be in the garage right now. lol

In week 23 we had a list of folks waiting for their MINI's. As they finally signed paper and brought their mini's home, the key person that was keeping track of that list, put little wings next to their name... sounds like the tradition continued!

Okay, Gemgirl- we drove down to see Sloopy yesterday and spend some time with Holly. It was a foggy, dreary day and I still am in so much pain so I didn't take any new pictures. But Sloopy looks awesome! She still isn't detailed and looks pretty dingy sitting outside but I see her potential! I am opting for the silver bonnet stripes which will be installed next week and I will pick her up and sign the adoption papers next Saturday!!!! Hopefully I will be able to drive by then.

 

Jammies acceptable, come on over.

I spoke to Holly last week, and waiting for her to get back to me. When we were ordering Nugget, we had changed our mind on the packages by the time we got there we had ordered the "Sidewalk". well the last couple months we have been talking about the stripes and i want them. Not knowing the sidewalk included the bonnet stripes until last week I looked at the configs on the website i realized it. I emailed her and told her, she said she would have to talk to the manager and see what if anything could be done. I'm hoping for stripes! I think they should honor the request since it was paid for. I said i would pay for the install. I think that is fair!

 

Oh wow!! So you have stripes coming to you!! Woo hoo!! I can't imagine that they won't be fair about it. They seem to be pretty conscientious at Otto's. I think YOU are being very kind to offer to pay for the labor!

As for being patient, I had decided that I couldn't wait and was going to call Holly this past Friday and ask to pick Sloopy up this weekend, but I was in so much pain on Friday I knew I could never even drive her home!! Isn't that pitiful???
We literally spent like 2 hours at Otto's yesterday and that will help me handle the wait.. espeically now that I have ordered the stripes.

We will pick her up at 10 am next Saturday wanna come be part of the party????

 

I'm hoping the Manager agrees with you. Holly didn't seem like he would, but i think if the answer is no, I will talk to the manager myself. Otto's is a great place, i hope they understand the full story!

Sloopy is going to be coming home this weekend, I'm so excited for you.. I will be with you in spirit.

It's a lot easier to say "Hey, let's build a paper Mini!" than it is actually to do it.
I'm almost done with this one and my 11 year old daughter comes into my office and asks, "What are you doing?". I reply "Making a paper Mini." She says "Cool" and starts to walk out of my office, then says "It needs checkers!". Now, I'm thinking "Great, now I gotta make another one!".

 

I'm thinkin' time to bring out the Sharpie!
