Hi everyone,
Sorry I've been out of touch. Mom is here visiting, my son is on vacation for spring break (and has been an angel cause he's had to shadow me to appointments, poor kid)... and he got his braces off (woot). My daughter is jealous because she's NOT on break yet, but she did get 26 chicks from 4-H for her chicken project. So when I wasn't running around town with appointments, I was helping build the chicken coop (chicks are in a brooder in the garage, much to Mocha's dismay... Mocha's been usurped for a few weeks). Our farm manager has been really excited about building this chicken coop and we now have a chicken palace. In fact, we've said in case of a tornado, we all go to the chicken coop. Of course, we've also joked about the fact that his last name is Fox... so we've got a Fox in charge of the hen house. His wife, pregnant with twins (yes, she drank the water), has been giving him grief about him seeing all those chicks while she's pregnant... I told her they were a bunch of dumb clucks, so she shouldn't worry.
And the puns runneth over.
RJ, I'm sorry about the allergic reaction. Have you ever had reactions to shellfish? I think they ask you about that before CT scans, because the dye is iodine.... I am a touch worried that both of your parents are going to be there- do they get along? are they going to baby you too much? Do you need your Freebie friends to give them a talking to (giggle)?
BTW, RJ, do you do any handiwork? Just curious... don'tchaknow?!

RJ-- even if your house is a complete disaster ( which I am positive it's not) you can just blame it on not feeling well..... that is one of the few perks,,, yes?

I sent you a PM,,, hope you get a chuckle out of it!!

So, um,,, RJ... Julie,,, Freebie,,, does this mena your work out program went by the wayside??
Just had to tease a bit!
Well Cab since you mentioned it...I had LOST 3lbs. from the last time I saw my Cardiologist until Thursday's Appt. and when I weighed my self at home the other day I had lost another 4.2lbs (Post ER Visit). But yesterday I treated myself to Taco Bell...a Nasty Habit of Mine!! We had SubWay for Lunch and Hubby is bringing home a Pappa' Murphy's Pizza, with my Mom & Dad both going to be here before my Surgery...I won't be losing any weight, they both like to eat at the nicer restaurant's!!

TNMM...I love the Chicken Coop Story...where are those Pics.??

Apparently this CT Scan was not with an Iodine Dye, at least that is what it said on my Paperwork, they did have a hard time getting my Heart Rate low enough, I remember them talking about that and looking rather confused, then I just went to my "Happy Place" and didn't worry about it. They also gave me something to relax me, what each of these drugs were called I don't know. I have some investigating to do tomorrow at the Hospital before my Pre-Op Appt. so that I can give my Surgical Team the info. My Cardiologist knows about all of this, has said that she will talk with my Thorasic Surgeon and if need be I will get her office to get the CT Scan Paperwork that shows exactly what I was given.

Pre-Op is at 1pm tomorrow, and I've got some leg work to do, so I may not be on here much after tonight, I've given instructions to my Husband to update my Freebie Friends about my progress on Wednesday, he's got a link and everything!!

Keep the Positive Vibes coming!!

Yay RJ!! And, if you are like my two clients who recently had surgeries, you just might have some "water weight" that you will lose with the repair surgery.

You just gotta love Taco Bell, yes? I have myself convinced that getting three taco's is a diet lunch,,,

I am doing fairly well,, I lost weight a couple of months back, now I am plateaued-- but at least I am keeping the original few pounds off and to me that is a victory.
I did okay while visiting the kids, even with the brownies, birthday cake and awesome Mexican food.

Tnny-- your daughter's chicken project sounds awesome... just awesome,,I used to love those little baby chicks. We also had "geeses" on the farm. As teens, we would get the old rotten geese eggs and egg people's cars,,, we were so rotten!!

Hi Freebs. My grandmother passed away this afternoon - the grandmother I'd been visiting and trying to help out with while we lived in VA. She started having problems, got combative about it, and ended up with a traech (sp) tube. Evidently it was a fast downhill slide. Uncle asked me via text message Saturday to go through the stuff I took from her storage locker (i.e. EVERYTHING) and see if there was a will in it. I knew there was an old one from one of her old surgeries, but figured there was a more updated one with him. Anyway, he asked if I could keep a copy but send him the originals. I couldn't do it Saturday (weather problems and FedEx closed) so I did it today, not realizing when I called to talk to him while I was at my storage place going through the papers, that he was THERE at her deathbed - he didn't tell me. The phone conversation cut off and he didn't answer - I thought he was in a bad cell zone in the hospital. Ten minutes later I get a text from him that she had passed away. I'm less upset for her sake than I am for my dad (her other son) - it's dad's birthday.

Anyway. I'm going to try and fly back for the funeral, but getting info out of my uncle without choking it out of him physically is tough.

I need hugs, Freebs.

Awwww, Sarah, I am so sorry to hear this.... it is hard enough without factoring in an obstinate, uncommunicative uncle into the mix!
You have had some kindof of year -- meaning summer '09 through to now and yes, I am sending you a big old comforting hug,,, and even throwing in a "noogie" ,,, there,,, I knew that would make you smile just a little bit..

I am sorry that I can't do more... if you pass by our vicinity on the trip home, you know you and any of your family are welcome-- you will probably fly, but just in case...
Love you, kiddo,,,

Definitely. I was in desperate need to recharge, and I didn't even realize it until I got to Costa Rica.

In all honesty, I could have stayed another week for recharging. But I won't complain about the break I managed to get.

AK-- I just returned from an out of state family visit.. I am really amazed, daily, that I feel so much more "peppy" and more able to "roll with the punches" since I returned. So I am detemrined to make sure I get a few more breaks soon! Even if it is just a long weekend..
Glad you enjoyed yourself.

GOOD TO KNOW! Thanks for the update. But I think you're supposed to sign off as SUPERMAN or something a little more dramatic like that!

Just copy and paste this guy next time you leave an update. Always had a bit of a crush on Clark Kent.

Yeah, I wanted to live in his crystal palace in the sky. SO?!?!

Well I was far too young to know what I would even do if I DID live there... but I still had funny feelings.
