Free Classic Mini...
I'm still Counting Down...12 Days from Today, next Week is my Last Full Week at Work, My Mom comes to Visit in 10 Days, I have 2 Dr. Appointments...only 1 related to my Heart (My Cardilogist Appt) on Thursday, and My ENT Appt. on Wednesday.
I don't know about any one else, but Wednesday always seems to come sooner than any other day of the week, You work 2 Days, it's Wednesday, you work 2 more Days, it's a 2 Day Weekend, you work 2 Days and you are back at Wednesday, how does that happen??!!
That's because Wednesday is Hump day! When I was corporate, I'd always look forward to Wednesday...
RJ, do you know if any of your docs are going to be McDreamy or McSteamy? Never hurts to have eye candy working on you
I'll be back in a while, got to go fun my broken antique table up to the my friend who's an antique restoration guru... Unfortunately, as a crow flies he lives 45 minutes away... but it takes 1.5 hours to get there.

Well TNMM, ones kind of rugged looking (KJ-Thoracic/Vascular Surgeon)...Hubby calls him "Folksy", the other is kind of Geeky-Suit & Tie (Dr. Martin-Heart Surgeon), sadly neither one is my type...Tall (Taller than Me) Dark (Dark Hair) and Handsome, like Hubby!! I'm always telling him, "You're Lucky you're so Cute!!"
Sorry to hear about the Table, but at least you'll be Motoring...won't you??!!

Morning RJ!
Sorry to hear McFolksy and McSuit aren't the eye candy we were hoping for...
Sadly, the 1.5 hour drive was in my Land Cruiser as I needed the space for the table (seats 8 - 10). I actually love my Land Cruiser, but it just doesn't handle the road like Mocha. And I was on some roads that Mocha would LOVE! And there weren't very many other cars on the road (something to do with March Madness in downtown Nashville).
Well, the birdfeeders are all empty. Guess I'm gonna have to feed the poor critters. Horses are all standing up at the fence, drenched, wanting some hay or grain. And I've GOT to get my taxes prepared. <sigh> Guess I can't avoid that any more...

Taxes are done and Refund(s) are in the Bank!! I L@VE Turbo Tax!!
Mom's coming in 8 Days, the house is a wreck...but the Guest Room is almost done, I don't think she'll worry about much else.
If I were there I'd help with the Chores!!
RJ, it certainly would be a change of pace for you to help with the chores! We actually started building my daughter's chicken coop. I don't know if I mentioned this, but she's in 4-H and is doing the chicken project, where they give her 25 day old chicks and she raises them, shows the 5 best (where they supposedly sell) and then starts an egg business. So we're supposed to get our day olds sometime today, tomorrow or Wednesday. (crud, I still need to get the brooder, feeder, waterer and heat lamp) They'll live in the garage for the first 3 or 4 weeks, then move into the hen house and when they're a tad older, they'll be allowed to roam the coop, which is going to be fairly huge so they get lots of fresh air and sunshine & bugs.
As for Coretta, my LandCruiser, we bought her in 2000 because of the farm & because we had 3 month old twins and found that we couldn't get the 2 car seats plus a person in the back of my 4-Runner. Since I have two step kids, who were spending a goodly amount of time, we needed something that could haul people (suddenly we were 6 people) plus had 4WD (driveway issues back then) and could handle towing a horse trailer with horses in it (which is why we didn't do a minivan... besides I'm not a mini van type gal). When fuel started going up, I got a 1982 Mercedes Diesel Station Wagon (steps were in college at that point) but since Coretta was paid off, we kept her... Then Hilda (the MB) started being unreliable and not liking Middle TN hot summers, so I finally threw in the towel and bought Mocha. And kept Hilda (well the kids are 10, will be driving in 6 yrs, and Hilda is paid for, so why not keep her). This fall, I flew to CA and purchased Freddy, a 2006 Ford F350 king cab 4x4 diesel, to handle all the true truck needs (turns out my "horses" are more like heffalumps and Coretta is having a hard time hauling them). So, between all of that and that I also have my grandmother's 1968 MB 280SL (a classic), I'm officially car poor. My husband has 2 other vehicles, a 2000 Volvo V70 wagon and a 1994 Toyota 4x4 pick up (which has 160k miles and the original clutch)... oh and we have fleet insurance & no car notes. So it's actually pretty darned affordable.
I bet that is way more than you wanted to know! I've got to get off the computer, my fingers have taken over the keyboard and I have no control... ARRGGGGHHHH!

I'm at a Week and counting...I've had my moments, I woke up at 1am Monday Morning, and was a wake for a couple of hours, no sleep does weird things to the Psyche. We missed the alarm by 1hr., but we were still able to get to work at a reasonable time, I think I was less than 10 minutes late.
I have my ENT Appointment in the AM, and then on Thursday my Cardiologist...I have a question...should I ask my Cardiologist to come and visit me in the Hospital?? Her office is right there, and I know my Mom would like to talk with her and Thank her for all she's done, without her who know's what would have happened!!
Last edited by RJKimbell; Mar 17, 2010 at 12:08 PM.
your cardiologist might just show up. Hubby's did! They are affiliated with hopsitals and make calls at the hospital every couple days. Just to make sure everything is going well.

Thanks for the link Hal... I was wondering what year re-vin it was. '79.
And hey everyone! I'll try to get back on here later to respond to things. THIS one was the easiest to respond to!
Weeeeelll, don't be fooled...even the classic Minis had other-than-hatchbacks. I'm not giving up my BMW version, but I CERTAINLY have NO problems adding to my collection!! :D.ESPECIALLY if gasmini wants to "give" me his classic pickup.... (HINT HINT!!)
It's still cute but... well, actually I like the 1997 and would consider that one.
And IIIIIIIIIIIIIII want gasmini's truck!
Howdy Freebies!!
I've gotten to see the ER side of the Hospital since I was on last. My Cardiologist had me do another CT Scan (Coronary Arteries) on Thursday AM, and Thursday PM I was in the ER with an allergic reaction to whatever they gave me in CT??!!
I'm feeling more like myself today, but I won't be stepping out.
Gotta' save my energy for Monday and Wednesday.
I've also gotten word that my Dad is on his way as well...where did that come from??...I had no idea that he was planning on coming until I got a voicemail Thursday PM while I was in ER that said he planned to be here on Monday??!!
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend...mine started on Thrusday I guess...yesterday is a blur as I slept through it!!
