MacGyver - Tne Italian Job chase
It's actually BETTER in some ways... It lacks the (sorry guys) terrible "Self Preservation Society" soundtrack that the IJ film has... Of course, the sound FX, expecially the Mini engine noises, are quite a bit weaker as well.

It was aired in the 80's. I don't remember the whole story line but from what I can remember it has something to do with getting the little girl of out Budapest. I know the little girl is a Gypsy and someone is after her.
I was intrigued so I googled and found it in the MacGyver Episode Guide.

Shame on you Matt. The Self Preservation Society is the theme music for classic MINIs. Here in England it’s common place to start off a run with everyone blasting the "Self Preservation Society" on their air horns. It’s like a Calvary charge for the MINIs. Don't worry Matt, I'll still love ya mate.

Following info is from a quote by a Canadian MacGyver and Mini fan:-
The "Thief of Budapest" is the 3rd episode of MacGyver, the first one was the Pilot and the second "Trumbo's World."
The first episodes of MacGyver had little money to work with, as they didn't want to risk too much on a new series. So Paramount decided to use footage from some of their movies to make them more spectacular.
Trumbo's World was made using the plot and footage of "The Naked Jungle."
The "Thief of Budapest" was filmed somewere in British Columbia, Canada. If you look closely, some of the MacGyver Minis have the "American" position lights. Here there's not many Alfas, and if you find them they are not cheap. Fiat and Ladas had to do the job of police cars.
