wife was pulled over during one of her visits to her customers earlier this
year and paid either 560 or 650 (forgot which) in cash at court. and it
was really not fair to her cause the construction zone only had cones out,
she was going 45mph but since it was sprinkling snow at the time
the cop pulled her over for 'going too fast for conditions.' wft, the road
was still dry and everyone else was going just as fast, she said.
on top of that, it's an AWD legacy, dog damn it... not some FR car...
too fast for conditions...
regardless don't speed (and slow down) in construction zones.
560 could've bought me a lot of charburgers and cheeze fries...

actually i think it was 650... cause i cashed 500, gave her another
80 or so from my wallet and she said she had barely enough to pay
for it.
oh well. it wasnt worth our time to fight it.
just dont second guess wat the cops can do at construction zones. in our
case i dont think she was really at fault, but they dont' give a crap.

Well after almost two months of looking I found one. Last Friday East on 88 at Naperville Rd. White van, ALL Windows, with a big speed limit sign on top with one of the "Your Speed" read outs. Due to traffic we were well under the limit, but the radar did go nuts. I'm sure that they have other van colors too.

I wonder what times of the day they operate. I'm usually on the road before 5am and coming home after 10pm and not a one is ever set up. Since I drive I88 almost daily, you would think they'd be out 24/7.
Perhaps that's the key, drive at the ungodly hours to avoid those officer friendly's.
