Question for Chicagoland mini owners

I am ready to buy a MCS, but am not sure what dealership to go to. I'm looking for people to share their experience purchasing from either Knauz in Lake Bluff or Patrick Mini in Schaumburg. Thanks!

I had a good buying experience with Maria at Patrick. However, I cannot recommend them for service AT ALL.

The other MINI in this house came from Knauz. Dan was the MA and that one was also a good experience. I haven't been there for service so I can't comment on that.

I just ordered from Dan at Knauz. He has been very helpful so far. I hope the delivery and paperwork go as smoothly as everything up to this point.

I can't say I was treated as well at Patrick - oh well, their loss.

My aunt got her CR/B R56 from Knauz and she had an awesome experience. They really took care of her there. I've never had a bad experience from Patrick, and I am also on a first name basis with the service dept so they take care of me. There will be pros and cons of different dealerships. I go to Patrick because well, I'm 3min away from them.

My experience with Patrick (purchase and service) has been GREAT. They will keep me as a repeat customer.

Purchased from Patrick MINI in '03, and they were great. I now go to Knuaz MINI because it's closer. Great experiences at both...

I take back my original post as a result of a very bad experience today, and will never set foot in Knauz again.

I've bought both my MINI's from Knauz and had excellent experiences. The MA's I worked with are unfortunately no longer there now.
When I worked in Schaumburg I used Patrick for some service and it was fine, but that was 5-6 years ago.

Bought two cars from Patrick, an '04 S and an '09 Cooper. A new service areas was built between the two purchases. They did nice work on my '04 but that was several years ago. The '09 hasn't been in for service yet, but will go back to them when service is needed.

I'm closer to Patrick so I usually go there. Their service was really bad the first time I took my MCS there. The care was literally in the shop for about 2 weeks while they tried to fix my TPS system. They were nice enough to give me a loaner for the entire time, but it was a lot of going back and forth and arguing with them. They finally got it right and I haven't had a problem since.
