I live downtown Chicago and have one parking spot for the minis and one for my truck. Picture in my album. Working on getting more pictures up there when the camera returns. Been away from anything as I recently completed back surgery. 2nd Mini has been confiscated by a friend who will probably buy it. Had to let it go for the month as I couldn't drive it anyway. Both need minor repairs. Mini Mania.com has a new customer!!:impatient

I believe the term is Webasto tops. They are basically HUGE powered sunroofs. Back is moving in the right direction. Dr. won't let me drive for extended trips much less ride in the Mini. 2nd one is not yet sold, but, was originally bought with my friend in mind. He needed to have it here to show the wife to get the final authorization. His son is a huge fan of the Classic Mini and just got his learner's permit today. He has the one closest to my truck. Selling it to him is really not getting rid of it as I would be able to borrow it anytime. You can only drive one at a time anyway. I had driven both prior to surgery and had a ball. Both ran great and I put over 300 kilometers on each over the course of a weekend. Looking forward to participating in the events in the future, but, have to address the more pressing issues in life at the moment. I will get more pictures posted in the next day or so.

 

That is great!!! Do you often put a mini in the bed of the pickup? If I had a classic I would!

 

Now I'd be tempted if Snow was still selling in having one as a weekend car. Both look sharp

Keep forgetting to mention that there is a White MC in front of my building downtown on a regular basis. I can't figure out who it belongs too and I imagine they are wondering who owns the Classics.

Do I hear a roadtrip in the making?!?! a Mini excursion so to speak

 

Well hardly a road trip for me as 200 in a day is quite common. But I've been doing mostly suburban trips. But hey of I go into the city then I can go out LSD and Sheridan

• DS/B MCS - Golf Rd/Arlington Hts Rd @ 9:15am you still had your service number on the mirror
• SB/W MC - Arlington Hts Rd exit from 90 @ 9:20am.. you had your flashers on & was on the phone. I tried to turn around to see if you needed help.. but there was too much traffic and I was running late for work. I hope you got the help you needed...

 

I think you should listen to your hubby and join the trek to the Rock...it'll be a fun time with other Mini's and one of the last good weather weekends before the stuff hits...


I see two Minis in the area of Church Road and West Marywood Ave in Aurora: a ragtop driven by a nice old gentleman, and a bright red one with white racing stripes down the front, driven by a brunette. They always wave...are all Mini owners that happy....?

 

I saw another Mini today for the first time in forever!!

On Lagrange Road in Orland Park is saw a CR/W with white bonnet stripes and white mirror caps....two women were in it... no wave, I don't even think that they saw me in on coming traffic (ughh Orland traffic stinkx)

on my way to my GFs house i spotted a PW/B MCS parked on the front of this store on Rt 47 in woodstock, had a really cool license plate "pintsiz"
maybe its from someone here!!!!

 

That's paulr ... he got those plates right before MINI/BSSP. Great guy! We shared a cabin at MOTD this year
