Yes, I'm afraid it's that time of year! It's time to start thinking about Christmas! I love this time of year. I love the atmosphere it brings. Yes, it's busy and stressful and chaotic :impatient , but it's cool and brisk (hopefully, here in AR), people are generous and kind, the sound of the Red Cross bells, the decorations. The spirit of joy in the air! The hope.... It's a wonderful time of year. Can't you just hear the Christmas music.


We will be having AMOK's very first Christmas party!!! It will be in Little Rock Saturday, December 1st. Time will come later, specific location will probably be in an email so make sure I have your email address. If you don't receive emails from me, PM me here at NAM with your email address.

We will play Dirty Santa and hang out. Plus we'll be mentioning some news and events for next year. Don't forget...door prizes!! I've saved the best specifically for this event!

Bring an hors d'oeuvre or dessert and any drinks you may want. If you choose to drink DON'T drink over the limit and then drive . We want to see you again! If you choose to drink make sure you bring someone who can drive you home.

Please no grinches!

The party will be at a members house so make sure you are on my email list because I won't be giving out personal info on the forum. PM me with you email if you are not.

 

Okay I was told last night, good presents!) Presents should cost between $15 - $25; not too much. How the present exchange will work, each family will get the same number of presents as you bring; i.e. if you and your spouse bring one gift, you get one gift; if you and your spouse bring 2 gifts, you get two gifts....

This is a family affair so bring your family!

The Christmas party will be held at the park near War Memorial. We will start at 3 PM. We'll have a fire going, roast marshmallows, play Dirty Santa (don't forget your gifts), and win door prizes!! I have saved the absolute best for this....a bulldog, MINI shirts, Actual Size stickers, plus more.... Once it gets dark we'll take a Christmas lights motor.

Don't miss this. This is a great time to meet other MINI/mini owners. We are going to have so much fun. If for some reason the weather does not permit us to have the party at the park we do have a back-up plan.

I won't be there to meet you all this time around. However, I am really hoping it will be all for a very good reason, as I am really hoping that my own MINI will be at Roadshow so that I can pick it up that day! I don't know if she will make it or not; she was supposed to come off the ship on the 22nd so it is possible. Everybody think positive thoughts about Minerva making it to Memphis!

Mark and I should be there at all the above in Nicodemus. Unfortunately, he won't have his Deimos until probably early January. Does it look like most people will be bringing food stuffs to the afternoon shindig? We're going to be 1.5+ hrs from home so there wouldn't be time to make a run home to grab something, so whatever would need to be brought in the morning.

 

You don't have to bring anything, but if you would like you could bring something you can get from the store.

 

Does anyone have a big coffee container where we could have something hot to drink?

 

I read this last night and looked as I thought I did have a big pot, but I think my mother gave it to somebody, anyway, I don't have one, sorry.
