AMVIV Official photo thread?!?!
So, I couldn't make it to AMVIV this year, hopefully I can make time out of my schedule to make it down to AMVIV next year, but I've been looking around and haven't found a 'Official Photo thread for AMVIV 2008" yet, not sure maybe it's somewhere here, but maybe we can get one going?
Sure looked like everyone who went had a blast, hopefully I can have a AMVIV experience of my own next year! Until then, I can look at pics right?
Motor On!

Did you try looking at "Date Uploaded"?
First few...all I had time to do before bedtime
First two are at Shoshone (potty stop) on the way to Death valley. Last two are at Badwater, the lowest point in the western hemisphere.

Here's a few of my favorites. Our full gallery is here, some are better than others. Apologies in advance for the nighttime strip run photos, our point and shoot isn't very good at them.
Here we are at Badwater, taking over the parking lot.

The Strip run, taken from in front of Ballys.

A pretty good shot of the Bellagio's water show:

A shot of the Mt. Charleston stop, and another parking lot we took over:

This is probably the best story of a MINI in trouble at the event. I'm sure there are more photos of us rescuing this fellow. If you're out there, give us a full recounting of your tale please.

Who else has photos? I can't wait to see what else got captured.

Heading out to Mt. Charleston,

Cabs are so photogenic.... from overhead!

Looks familiar!

Bloody Shadow!

"Hey Mom, guess where we are. Wanna meet for lunch?

That's root beer in SDMike's hand..... at least that's what the label said!

Trending Topics
ok, here are some photos i took. I didn’t take a whole lot since i was pretty doped up on benadryl all the weekend (which i must thank Kelly for being my supplier).
First day i showed up we did the "red rock run" over 250 minis (i think 275 was counted) ran on this. it was amazingly perrdy

then the rest of the weekend was a blur but i managed to get some other shots along the way.

Checkmate (see image) is doing much better. All of the helpful MINIacs were able to help him isolate the problem and seem that it has been resolved. He is actually in LA getting Jan to Tune his MINI right now.
MINI in Ditch
Here are a couple photos of Scott's car in the ditch. If this was an SUV, you'd have to call AAA. I was glad to see his MINI wasn't damaged.
I have quite a few photos of the entire event that I will post somewhere with notice within the next week. But what a great time! Thanks Sin City for putting on a great event.
