What happens at Midnight, when you're in Las Vegas for AMVIV?



So you can get up at 7:45 to make the Death Valley / Spring Mt run:


The line must have started on the 4th floor ... wound up to the top (6th) ... around the HVAC tower ... then down the exit ramp.

 

Spring Mountain was hot ... both the weather and the cars:

All ran well until the track had to be shut down as one of the owners "dropped in":

Well, I'm new to the US and MINI's and NAM, and certainly AMVIV, but I've had a really stressful week, so, at the flip of a coin, I've decided that I'm going to pack, grab a couple of hours sleep, then the missus and I are going to jump in the Mini and head for Vegas - we should be there by morning, looking very confused, bewildered and generally a bit lost - so take pity on us please?

 

It was great to meet some of you tonight.
I wish I could have seen a few more people before I had to depart.

Many thanks to the craptastic clown who had to scratch "Get Out", and "Not a MINI" in the dust on the back of my FJ, which we were using to store supplies for Sin City Mini registration desk.

No **** *******, I KNOW it is not a MINI! I suppose I should thank you for not breaking the window and stealing the NAV?

I'm sorry to hear that Jim - there were other shenanigans going on - including a fair amount of powersliding and burnouts at the parking deck in the wee hours of Saturday morning. I can only imagine the expected outcry if someone's parked MINI had been hit.

My wife and I sure had a lot of fun, we only made the Mt. Charleston run due to work obligations, etc. It was so cool, we're going to make the whole thing next time. Can't wait!

By the way, whoever it was that got us all trapped behind that SLOW pickup on the way down the mountain, shame on you! I finally decided to pass the pack but by then all the twisties were gone. Kudos to the GP from California with "AMVIV 5 or Bust!" on the rear window, and the cabrio that kept up with me. Fun!
