hate to tell you this but the stock clutches usually only last for around 20k

If the OEM clutch only lasted 20k miles then NAM and the entire Mini community would be up in arms screaming bloody murder at BMW/Mini.

some of the threads on here were spectulating about them it may have been bad apples or warrenty work but there seemed to be alot of people posting in the thread

 

I've got close to 41k miles on my 05 and am still running the stock clutch. I don't quite think this is a common fact. There might have been a few that had problems with theirs, but a general statement like that just isn't true.

 

I have 55,300 on my stock clutch and I drive it hard.

 

You guys def dont drive hard if you have that many miles on your car with your first clutch. I lost mine 2 times already and i only have 34k on the clock.

and especially the 05s which had a faulty flywheel to begin with from the factory
