Very nice, I drove a 1989 MINI when I was living in England, I kick myself in the butt everyday for not shipping over a classic MINI from England when I had the chance. Its where my love of them started, now I am driving a 10' cooper S and I love it as well.
For reasons that should be obvious, we are traveling again this season to Cooper Landing! We’re going to incorporate a Poker Run into the rally: At every stop (5 total), every MINI gets a card from one deck of cards (2-3 decks will be used if needed). At the end of the rally, the best hand wins! The buy-in is $10 per person who wants to play… You can have one hand per MINI or one hand per motorer. It is up to you! Prizes will be awarded at the end. Meeting place will be MINI of Anchorage at 11:00am with a 11:30 departure time. We will be going rain or shine! We're planning on a late lunch at the Kenai Princess Lodge and a photo-op at the 'Cooper Landing' sign either before/after lunch.
Any Alaska Mini owners want to take advantage of the weather? I was thinking of meeting at Carrs/Safeway on Huffman at 1:45pm today, Saturday Sept 14, 2013. From there we could head out at 2pm to Whitter and catch the tunnel at 3:30. Headed back to town I'm planning on dining at Chair 5, in Girdwood. Hope to see you there, Motor on.
