It's been extremely boring here lately...

I have a big montage in the works but it will be a while. I'm doing a lot of experimenting with resolutions, slow motion, angles, and time of day. Not to mention just learning the software in general.
Seeing GoPros at the Dragon and the stuff you can do with them inspired me. I am semi-pro at mixing music and video editing is not that much different.
Any suggestions for roads I should film on are welcome!
Thanks for the compliments!

I'm sure you already have AL 25 south of Leeds from Elliott Lane over the twin ridges of Oak Mountain to Vandiver on your list.
And, if it's not too far from home, from the top of Cheaha down AL 281, then south on AL 49 on the "roller coaster" to Abel Road.
They both should be full of color around the end of October.
Was that the Lake Purdy bridge in the trailer?
Looking forward to seeing more of your work,
Russell

I live in Chelsea (Shelby County) so I drive Hwy 25 a lot. Sometimes with some Porches although I think it ruffles their feathers that I can keep up LOL. Also, I work in Irondale so Rex Lake, Grants Mill, 119, and Sicard are driven all of the time.
I've never been out to Cheaha but it sounds great. According to my iPhone it's a 1 hour 40 min drive so maybe one weekend soon.
I'm really trying to get my wife involved in these videos so I can film her Countryman and get some cool drive by shots but she has no interest :(
Oh, and yes, that was the Lake Purdy Bridge.
Funny side note: I was driving Grants Mill today and got behind a guy in a black Hardtop S. I honked and waved for him to pull over so we could chat Mini but I just creeped him out and he kept driving. I can't blame him. Haha. I just wish the Mini community was closer around here... I've often considered making business cards with this forum's address on it to pass out to drivers I may run into. Kinda creepish? I guess so.

I'm on the south side of cr51. About a mile passed Chelsea Park. I have a wife and a stepson but I do ride a lot so we need to get some runs planned. I'm actually free today until this evening. Regardless, email me at fmamhead@hotmail.com and I'll give you my number so we can text, call and such. Who knows, my wife may even get her Countryman out one of these days...

You really should spend some time with it KE4.
I just leave the camera in my car and mount it up when I feel like taking the long way to work or something. It's pretty cool what all you can do with it once you figure it out. My latest project has been showing the wife how bad our "precious little kitten" is while we're out by sticking it to a window or something. She can't argue with video evidence lol!
This weekend I'm hopefully going to be doing a lot of shooting with a buddy of mine. He wants to film his Rabbit (yuk) and we're taking turns doing drive by shots and such.

I bought the floating case for it and played with is on my Jet Ski several angles and wow its a cool device! But I haven't had time to use it on the MINI at all yet. Other than a friend of mine recording me on the Dragon this year with his and it was awesome! I hoped to break it out for our run this weekend but I can't go. I will definately get some time with it for the October Fun Run though!
It would be cool to see what an animal does in your house while your away! lol
