Where are you coming from?

I've always wondered where everyone comes from that attends MOTD.
The majority I assume are from the neighboring states, but I have seen license plates from as far as Canada.

Where are you coming from and how long does it take you to get there?

If you're coming to this years MOTD I would really be interested in your
driving adventure and your plans or routes.

See you there...

Las Vegas. Got the room reserved, just have to stop in MN and pick up the new Clubman on the way.

Been to every one except 05, Bahrain got in the way of that one.

Heading down from Indianapolis... not sure how long it will take (or what day we will be leaving) in the classic, but it will be an adventure.

Ditto on coming from Indy- mapquest and google say about 7.5-8 hours via interstate, so I'm expecting a little under 7. Probably coming down Thursday afternoon and return on Saturday.

For a change of pace and scenery you could always take the Blue Ridge Parkway down but I think from Va to NC would be something like 3180 turns in 11 days .
By the time you got to the Dragon I don't think you would want to see another curve, bend or turn ever again.

In any case have a Trooperless and safe trip

I'm coming from central Michigan which is about a 9 hour drive but this year I am driving to my parents house in Ocala FL first for my Dad's 84th birthday April 27. The Brother and Sisters will all be there to surprise him. Figured what's another 1200 miles for my family.

Nice route .
I see you get to run the Dragon on your way in .
I know that I-81 can make Virginia seem like it lasts forever .
Don't forget to bring the beer for the Brew Swap from Lions Head Brewery in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton .

Third Offical Dragon (been going up to that neck of the woods for 15 years).

Leaving from the Tampa area, stopping off at Microcar museum on the way up, meeting some peeps in Helen Georgia for dinner, drinks and a goods night rest and then up to Fontana for Tuesday pre-party!!!

BRP has a lower speed limit, I think...I'm so used to I66,and I actually do it in 2 days. I stop in Abingdon, VA. That way I'm not wiped when I get down there...

Pittsburgh, PA 4th MOTD

You should meet up with the PittStopMINI Caravan. We will be staying in Erwin, TN Tuesday night.

Hmmm.... there's a possibility of that. Two other options that I am thinking are either from Otto's in State College or Davidson Brothers in Glens Falls, NY.

Most likely Otto's, as I don't think I'll be heading Upstate before MOTD.

My wife's a member of PittStop, but I haven't seen too much info posted on the Caravan (departure time, meeting place etc) unless my head's up my *** - which is a good possibility.

We've got dogs that we have to drop off at 9am Tuesday at the resort (no joke, that's the title of the place) so making to P-burgh for an early departure would be tough.

Meeting with you guys in Erwin would work though.....
