Dragon 2007
Are small dogs welcome?
Anyone know if Fontana allows dogs?
Gidget went with us last year as we put 5500 miles on the Mini driving out I-40 to NM, up into Colorado to Utah and down into Az before heading back accross I-10 with a stop over in Austin.

Last time I heard from Mark, he was just wrapping up the 2007 Calendar and will be getting MOTD stuff started in Dec. and Registration opening in Feb. 07
There will be plenty of time to register. They usually keep it open right up to a week or two before the Dragon.
The Sunshine Mini Crew has been hard at work on the Welcome Dinner to Help kick it off right

I'm here
I am at the Snowbird Lodge about 10 mi from Robbinsville NC and am heading to the Dragon this morning after breakfast..... We came up to celebrate Jeanne's B'day and ....what the heck ...we're here....may as well do a run or two.....
I'll leave some road for the rest of you.....

Inside the main hotel, I am not sure. I know if you are staying at one of the cabins, you can.
More 1st timers here. My wife and I will be joining the group of MOTD veterans from MINICCI. We've had our room reserved at the Lodge for some time now and are really looking forward to this great event.
Met a fellow MINI enthusiast this weekend who talked up the Dragon so much that my wife and I have it penciled in on our calendar. Now I need to get in gear and figure out lodging and such. The whole event everything about it sounds like so much fun ("MTTS on steroids and compressed into a smaller number of days" comes to mind). We're in our second MINI now, did MTTS from Monterey to Dallas, and are enjoying meeting new friends other fellow automotive enthusiasts.
My wife and I will be joining everyone for the chaos. First time for MOTD, not the Dragon. Staying at the Hampton Inn in Cherokee, NC. Darn- more motoring for us. Will try to bring a selection of fine Indiana brews for the swap.
I have no idea what they paid, call Fontana up 1-800-849-2258

If you are within driving distance of Bloomington I should be able to hook you up with free beer to bring. Upland Brewing Company has offered me free beer if I can find someone to pick it up. Email me at matthewrohrbach@gmail.com if you are interested and be sure to check out the website, www.dragonbrewswap.com

The Dragon is an 11 mile stretch of US Hwy 129 with 318 curves. It's located in southwestern north carolina but stretches across into Tennessee.
MINIs on the Dragon (MOTD) is an annual gathering at Fontana Village in North Carolina, a short hop away from the start of the Dragon. It's always the first weekend in May, this year it'll be the 3rd to the 5th.
This year will be the 5th MOTD. Last year we had, what, over 400 if not 500 MINIs in attendance.
*shameless plug* This year there at MOTD will be the 2nd annual brew swap. This is where many of the MOTD attendees bring their favorite regional or local beers for sampling and trading. More info at www.dragonbrewswap.com *end shameless plug*
