You are correct 3-6 May things kick off Thursday afternoon then finish Sunday morning. However, some of us have plans to start our journey the previous Saturday.
Going to try and make it this year. Dragon virgin. If I can get a room, what location is recommended. Anyone better than the other (Fontana Village / Tapoco Lounge)???
Speaking from experience, you'd be best to stay in Fontana if you can find the lodging. I stayed outside of fontana last year and it got tiresome making the trek to and from. The roads may be sweet but its the time lost that annoyed me.
Aren't you getting a little bored of that place, koolmini?
never,
last time i went to the Smokey's i got to hang with good friends and went caving & even made it to church
and then we got to do some spirted driving right after church
Unfortunately I won't be able to join in the festivities this year. I leave my command around mid april, and am supposed to report to my new one mid-may. So time wise I *could* attend, but it would be irresponsible of me to wait until my third/fourth week of 'transit time' to get to Guam to try and find housing for my wife and newborn. So unless I'm able to secure a house before April (going for 2 weeks in March to see what's what), I'll be unable to attend.
Plus the sooner I get the Batmini on a boat to Guam, the sooner I'll have it in Guam... So attending MOTD07 would make me use public transportation for an extra month. :(
Well it looks like our first Beerlympics team will be from Michigan. Only 3 team spots left.
I'm hoping to see the Chicago crew and Pennsylvania crew put together some teams. And maybe those Floridians can scrape enough drinkers together. Region vs Region, Club vs Club, Lush vs Lush...they all fit.

Does anyone just go and camp out. Rough it. Throw down the tent and sleeping bag? If so how easy is it to find a place with the facility for camping near the main stay? I am thinking it might be time to bring the Marine back out and be a little outdoorsy
