My husband and I will be making the trip again this year and can't wait!! Last year I came after just having knee surgery and it wasn't as much fun for me, so this year, I get to bring my own MINI and maybe even get to drive!!! We will be staying in a cabin at the Fontana.

I really want to participate in the Iron Chef Chili Cookoff, can't wait for details...

 

I still say you should throw the new baby on a trailer and tow her up. Old Mini's deserve dragon love too!!

So what is the weather like down there in May? Light jacket season? Bring an umbrella? Or already buggery hot and humid?

 

Last year I was in shorts and a T shirt most of the time. Not "hot", just pleasant. Maybe a sweatshirt after the sun went down.

Bring a carfull of umbrellas. That will guarantee no rain.

Looks like Atlanta Mini's is taking a well deserved break this year, so it looks like there will not be a chili cook-off this year

But if you cook some, I know I'll find some people to eat it

 

It would be wise of you to pay attention to, sign up for and come to the 2nd Annual Dragon Brew Swap. Maybe we can get your beer there and even if not you'll be able to taste and swap for a lot of good beer.

This is what I am hearing as well. Maybe another group will step up and lead it this year.

I can tell you that there will be a pretty cool event going from Helix to the Dragon. What it is exactly, we will let everyone know later on. Believe me, you'll want to be there

 

Atlanta and DC seemed like they were going to have pistols at dawn last year shame though- I really appreciate(d) all and I mean ALL of the hard work and attention that both clubs contributed.

As it gets bigger and bigger, events have to become co-existant/optional/interactive rather than exclusive IMO. I'll miss ATLs touch of excellence

I'm thinking about attending and I haven't even got my MINI yet. Ordered a '07, about a week ago and I think a nice ride from Woodstock NY to TN might be a good christening.

The AtlantaMINIS will be there in full force! As usual the majority of us will be at Tapoco.

 

i don't think that's such a great idea.. me by myself.. driving a MINI pulling a Mini i have bad luck.. something's bound to happen.

 

I made reservations back in the beginning of Dec for the Blue Boar Inn. This will be my first time at the Dragon and I am planning on taking my 2 daughters along. (Well that's the plan anyway.)

Mr Jim, when do you plan on ariving?

 

Can't wait for the roadtrip to begin. Had a GREAT time the last 2yrs. Hoping to meet and put alot of usernames to faces.
