There was a MINI sacrificed to the Dragon last year. Luckily it's passenger escaped, let's not have any more please. SANE driving, NO PASSING, and remember that YOU are responsible for the saftey of those around you.

Well let's hope in 5 years we are still talking about that as the worst accident at the MOTD.

Well I know have a room at the Blue Water Lodge thanx to a great recomendation. As of Sundya there was one room left if anyone is still looking.

The other 8 rooms rented are all MINI people, so it sounds like we can rename it for the weekend the "Blue Water MINI Lodge."

We got the last room yesterday, so the MINIfication is complete. Or is that MINIturization?

Bitchen So that makes you, snooter, jeffc, myself, and the professor as the people I know staying there. I wondering who the other 4 are? NAM members?

Are you motoring in on Thursday?

The car going over the hill didn't actually happen on the dragon though. It happened on 28 heading back to Fontana.

Yeah they will be NAM members. Most likely they're the same people there last year. I won't name them in case they don't wish to be named for whatever reason. Good people though.

If I wasn't running the beer event my wife and I would have stayed there again. But I need to be in Fontana this time around.

Sadly my wife and I will more than likely be staying at Fontana also. I am with Sunshine Minis which is hosting the Welcome Dinner and will need to be there to set things up. I'm just waiting for my written confirmation in the mail to make it a done deal.

Last year I started a "Who is Staying at the Blue Water Mountain Lodge" thread and just about everyone listed themselves!!

They also have dinners on Thur, Fri, and Saturday. If you don't go a NAM dinner, Maury is a awesome cook

Mark will be posting detail on THIS PAGE soon, so check back often.

It will have a calendar of events and dinners for each day to choose from. Some do prefer the wing-it method also!!

Ugh, I can not believe we still have over 100 days to go. I guess that just means more time for pre-dragon motoring .

So, who knows where lodging is still available? Coming in late & trying to get a block of rooms somewhere for some of the CinciMINIs. Thanks to Snooter for the great info on the MOTD website. I've been running the Gap for several years on motorcycles, in Miatas & our MCS this year, but I've never been to a national meet of this size where you want to be close to Fontana where everything is going on. I usually stay in Tellico Plains at the great KOA there when its just me & a group of friends. I shot some emails out & I will be making some calls tomorrow.

Blue Water Lodge might still have 1 or even 2 rooms left. This is a B&B about 30 mins from Fontana...

http://www.bluewatersmtnl.com/index.html

Thanx to snooter for the tip that there might (and I stress might) be space avail.

By the way, the Snowbird Mtn. Lodge had 5 rooms available when I talked to them yesterday. You need deep pockets to stay there, but it was fabulous when we stayed there in Oct. for our anniversary (yes, I weaseled Deals Gap into our anniversary). The only issue with it is that the rates include all meals (and the food is incredible) so it's not the best set up for an event like MOTD where you just need a room & maybe breakfast so that you can do all of the planned events/meals/gatherings.

I don't think I can attend The Dragon 2007 this year, or any of them for the next 3 years. I'm a college student and my finals are always the first week of May. It would take me 3 days or so to get to Tapoco from Lincoln Nebraska. Is anyone going to linger around for another week after the main event? I'd like some motoring buddies if I go.
