I haven't seen this mentioned before so figured I'd toss it in here:

The CAR may be British, but the roads... not so much

I took a similar photo of another MINI completely on the wrong side of the road just before the Gravity Cavity coming back after the parade.

I decided to be nice and post here that I won't publish the photo of the red MCS cabrio with euro front plate and big rear mud flaps if the owner PM's me for my paypal address so that he/she can purchase the photo before I give it away for free in this thread.

He's from Canada....don't they drive on the other side of the road?

He was also a guest in the PittStop MINI cabins.

I can't say I didn't warn everyone. Here is what I said on April 19th in this thread

Luckily, as posted about this picture on Killboy, the MINI group did a good job for the most part.

I think shock collars should be given at Tabcat and Deals Gap prior to running the dragon. If you hit the yellow line you get a little shock.

He was tame compared to the Red Honda Hatchback with the black hood terrorizing the dragon on Friday. He passed me and a corvette on blind turns and was all over the road...

Next year will be my first MOTD.

Is it bad that I'm thinking I may enjoy the shock collar?

Yeah, Wednesday there was a Red Mustang convertible on the way up that was cutting to the inside on EVERY left curve I actually pulled over to let him pass after seeing him come up behind me around a blind curve... in the wrong lane

Yeah, we were behind a MINI (sorry, can't recall who now) on the midnight run, and he was completely on the other side of the road several times, and most of the time he was over the yellow. Even when the road was "straight". I tried to warn him over the radio, but either he didn't care, or he didn't have a radio. We made sure not to follow him back afterward because he was scaring the bejeezus out of us.

Shocked, spanked and drive your MINI on the Dragon in one weekend? Life couldn't get much better.

You are slightly better off touching the yellow line at night when headlights of oncoming traffic give some early warning, but that is still no excuse for driving out of control. If you are driving so fast that you cannot control your car and keep it in your own lane, then you need to slow down.

Driving the dragon fast is a meditation focusing on being smooth and in control. This kind of driving is almost always faster than being out of control on each turn even though the out of control method feels faster.

I still haven't received a PM from the red MCS cabrio. I'll give them until the end of the work day to purchase their photo before I post it here. If you know someone with a red cabrio with a euro license plate that was a part of the parade, better let them know. . . .

We were driving back from the Parade on Friday with a friend behind us. Our friend had a medical issue and pulled off where Killboy was taking pics so we found a place to turn around and went back to see if we could help(wife is an EMT) or needed to drive their car back to Fontana.

While we were sitting there with Killboy, we could hear tires squealing and watched as a SB/S MCS came around the righthand curve in front of us sideways across both lanes. The driver got the MINI straightened out only to go through the next lefthand curve the same way. I was still sitting in my MINI as he went by and thought he was fishtailing enough he was going to slide into my car, which was well off the road.

I checked Killboy.com and zeefoto.com and have found pics of the car across the double yellow, but none show the car sideways. My wife had just turned off our video camera, so we didn't get it on 'film' either.

This explains why some need "harnesses" too

No what really sucks is if someone would have been approaching them on the blind curve

I say post it. I saw the offending pic & they deserve a little shamin. If you are not a good enough driver to stay in your lane then slow your azz down

+1 for the shock collar idea
