Thanks for working on this!!!

I was really bummed that I wasn't going to get another dam picture (ok it doesn't have to be a dam picture, just a five foot long one with a ton of MINI'S!).

I will happily buy another one from George. I will buy it framed even just like last year as I have a wall in my office that the first one is at the top of and space for each one thereafter!

If George wants commitment I'm in! If he needs payment in advance and takes a credit card I will call him as soon as he wants with the info to take my money!

Just for those of us who were not at the Dragon last year what was the cost of the photo last year?

sorry!!!

I'm sorry kgdblu for my comment. My post was uncalled for. In no way was I ever trying to marginalize or minimize the efforts being made to everyone involved in what is turning out to be a great event this year!

I hope we can put this behind us?

If there is anything that I can help with, I still want to help out in some capacity.

here's proof that my brain's turning into a pile of oatmeal...I can't remember. There were 3 types, each priced accordingly.....plain photo, laminated photo and framed photo. I got the laminated one, and for the life of me, I can remeber what I paid.
Aren't I helpful? Sorry.
I'm sure when things are finalized, prices will be posted.

I'd love to be in it as well as to buy one. I do hope its cheaper than last year. Hope it doesn't conflict with one of the major events.

Great! But lets hope water doesn't go over the dam while we're under it for the picture

We will need "Row Captains" to help coordinate parking, but as mentioned before, details will be released as soon as they're firm.

Just an FYI.... There were a few people who experienced some quality issues with the laminated photos. The lamination was seperating from the photo when delivered. From those that I spoke to who experienced this, they all called George who replaced the photos at no charge.

Yes, When we received our photo from George, it too had the same problem, but he had no problem sending us another one at no cost. Hope that he will be there again this year, to thank him again for an outstanding job that he did. Thanks Bucket George!!!!

Here's a post by mbabischkin from last year's MOTD with price info:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...2&postcount=92

And here is the most pertinent data regarding last year's pricing:

10 X 60 inch Color Print including Shipping & Handling to continental USA..............$ 60.00
10 X 60 inch Color Print Laminated to prevent tearing and damage (like a driver's license but not quite so thick).... $70.00
10 X 60 inch Color Print FRAMED, crated, and shipped FedEx directly to your door.....$170.00

Orders taken after May 2:
10 X 60 inch Color Print including Shipping & Handling to continental USA..............$ 75.00
10 X 60 inch Color Print Laminated to prevent tearing and damage (like a driver's license but not quite so thick).... $85.00

PM Edge, he should have the latest info on this if there is any.
Hello Everyone!

This is VERY STRANGE that someone out there is speaking FOR ME!!! I have never said that I did not want to do your group's picture again! Quite the contrary! No-one even bothered to contact me until just this week! I had no idea when iof if you guys were even having a meeting this year until someone contacted me. I can assure you that I am very much willing to make a really cool panoramaic picture of all of you and your Mini's this year, and that I am now in the loop and working very hard to see that we can make this happen for you. Thank you!

Thank you Michael!
They have absolutel no concept of what it takes to do something that looked so simple to them. The pre-planning and number crunching is what made the shoot possible at all. The camera and lenses that I use cost about $20,000 to do this type of shot. Then back at my lab I have a special printer that cost over $120,000 and that's not all. So...if there is someone out there that wants to try this shot on their CELL PHONE (hee hee) then have at at! I am again working on this shoot to try to make it happen for you. I hope we can work it all out!
My best,

NO! I DON'T HATE ANYBODY!!!^@^@%&%^@#!! Whoever started such a rumor is extremely mis-informed. I will be there for you if at all possible!!!
I do not follow your post here since I do not have a Mini, but am glad I took a look here to see what you guys were up to.
Boy, I can't leave you alone for any time at all before someone starts making up stuff!! The next time there is a rumor going around, why doesn't someone just ask the person??? That saves a lot of hard feelings don't you think?
I got an email this past MONDAY (4-17) from William Mapp of DCMM, asking how come I did not want to do the picture, and I almost fell out of my chair! I said "What the heck are you talking about??!!" I am so glad that he wrote to me, as now we have this straightened out and we are moving forward. He was the first person to speak to me since we all said bye bye last year!
Looking forward to seeing all of you AGAIN this year for the panorama group picture and renewing friendships.
My best,

I need to create a MOTD planner with all the events that are popping up! I was really hoping there would be a picture this year. I didn't pick up my baby until about 3 weeks after last year's dragon. I saw the pic from last year and it looked so cool. I can't imagine how many cars will be in it this year!

Thanks for setting it up. I should be able to help if need be. Feel free to PM me once things get rolling.

George, speaking on behalf of the entire Dragon committee, I apologize. We had so many details to cover in the first few Dragon committee meetings, and for some reason, the idea came up (I don't recall who - it wasn't Art (chows4us), he's just quoting what he remembers) that it was too difficult to do again. Fortunately, Will (Wagnbat) had the foresight to start asking questions again, and now it looks like it's going to happen.

It was not a deliberate slight against you, I assure - we were all very happy with last year's results, and look forward to seeing this years! I have the MOTD3 panoramic sitting above my desk right now at work as I type this, and I get questions on it all the time.

Regards,

Haemish Edgerton

Hi Haemish,
Thank you! I am happy that we have caught this rumor in time to get things moving in the right direction. I hope we will have time to work out the details.

Since it was my comment ... as Edge just said, it was what I heard at an early Dragon Committee Mtg (don't remember who said it ....)

I should not have stated it as fact since I dont remember the source so I too apoligize and for any inconvenience.
