Would anyone be interested in another creeper race this year? My plans for this time:

Only 2 creepers. Only 2 winners, those with the top 2 times. 1 man teams.

Same spot as last year, but instead there will be a drag race up the hill, and slalom back down the hill! How will you do this? With a PLUNGER as your propulsion! You'll have to row yourself up and down the course.

Who dares tempt fate? Who is willing to lose skin and nails? It happened last year, it can happen again!

Any new mods on the creepers for May?

 

We fixed the problem with tyres shredding. I'd bring the larger models, but they don't fit in Minis. Hehe.

 

I could bring my Yakima roof rack and rent it out for carrying creepers down............

 

I would say I would bring the evo, but a) Amanda won't let me, and b) I'm not sure they would fit in it either

 

1 PERSON teams, Jeremy? Just say you're going to have some sort of handicap to account for the 14 year olds and the women vs. men...

I have video, I dunno if Octaneguy is putting it on the DVD he put out or not. I do have a private DVD, but I'm not distributing it due to some, er, yeah.

For the novice what is a creeper race?

 

Its a race involving mechanic's creepers.

I haven't decided if I am going to hold it or not though.

 

I really had fun with it last year. I also saw the guy cut the end of his finger off!!! It was alot of fun.

 

Doubt it was as fun for him, hehe.

 

Jeremy, are you over the center line in that sig pic? Cutting it a little close at least.

 

Figures one of the few times I've actually crossed the line had to be right in front of killboy. Can't believe I did that.

 

I'm in no matter what!I could use a second creeper. One in the garage is simply not enough!

 

You guys are bringing a creeper to the Dragon or are they for rent? Just watch out for the RC Minis

 

If I hold the event I will bring 2 creepers, and the two winners each get to take one home.

 

The creeper race is back on for this year...

 

Hello everyone! The Creeper Race will be held again this year, but it will have a twist! This time there will be only one lap around the slalom per team - and each team will have only one person! As an added catch, your only mode of propulsion will be a standard plunger supplied by me! You may not bring your own plunger! I would suggest that if you plan on racing, find someone with a Bone, Rough Rider or Bone-ster creeper to practice on.

I think having the racers self-propel themselves will make it more fair - just remember that the race is on a slight hill!

I'm going to place a cap of 20 racers for this event. First come, first serve. PM me to sign up. No exceptions will be made to the rules!

Date: Friday May 5th
Time: 3:00pm
Location: Fontana Recreation Center parking lot

Basic rules:

• Solo race, no assistance from fellow MINIacs!
• Only one plunger permitted in the race.
• No "classes", an "open" event to all racers.
• Previous winners are not eligible to race in the main heat or win another creeper. Give others a chance to win!
• First place wins a new creeper, Runner-up wins the creeper used in the race and a spare set of wheels.
• After this year's winners are decided, a "champion of champions" face-off between all new and former winners may ensue. No prizes, just fame, glory and bragging rights! This is if I can fit one of the bigger creepers into my MINI.
