Snoopy home and thanks for the Dragon

Hi All, It's Snoopy the Ozzie that was present at Dragon 2005. I have just got back to OZ from my Holiday and I just wanted to pass on my thanks to everyone that was at the Dragon this year as you guys and girls made me feel real welcome and I had a great time.

Would like to make special thanks to the following girls/guys Miniclo, Sndwave, koolmini, yucca patrol and the guys and girls from the Indiana MINI club, "MINItencan" and Tom, Way of Way motor works, "MINIwildcat" aka Mat the wild man and mikesmini.

It will take me a while but I plan to have a look at the all the photos from the event and get back in touch with some new friends. Hmm might have to start planning to see if I can get a group of Ozzie over there from next years event as it was a highlight on my world wide MINI Adventure.

Also thanks and congratulations to everyone that was involved in the planning and running this years Dragon. It was a hit in this Ozzie eyes.

Snoopy:smile:

LOL! Snoopy, I just found this thread! I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner! It was so great to be able to spend time with you in SoCal and at The Dragon! (Even though you had to drive that Pacifica, tee hee!)
Keep us all posted about your proposed group of Ozzies and MINIs On The Dragon 2006!

And that wasn't a Pacifica he was driving, it was a MINI support vehicle. Nice to meet you and glad you had a fun trip.

Oooh, that is strange. It's almost like the driver has to sit on the right side of the car. That's bizarre. Is this a one-off, crazed tuner mod?

I highly doubt it is the RHD he is referring to ..... More likely it is the fact that the speedometer is where our Tach is and the Tach in the center. While it has been mentioned elsewhere, it still seems a little odd.

Touché!

While common to have the speedo directly in front of the driver I still find this particular layout a little off.

The single pod on the steering column is reminiscent of the racing tach frequently added post-production. Also, the proportions just give an odd feel. Why use the larger guage face for a whopping 8 markings and the small one for 12?

...As with anything, I'm sure it doesn't take long to get used to.

yep, snoopy was telling me about it at the "05" Dragon meet, it's the way the MINI's are built for Australia

Ha Ha

Yep it is the Aus MINI dials, we tacho in dash and speedo on steering wheel Mini2go got it in one , the speedo is too small to read and if you are tall like me you can't see how fast you are going.

Trying to change it back ie tacho in steering wheel, but MINI/BMW will not help me

But we do win the largest tacho competition, now I just get myself a headlight as a shift light and it would be sick man
