Phone Mounting Solutions

Curious to know what you have done for your phone. Vent mounts? Windshield mounts? Something custom? Integrated charger?

I need something but would like to know what you've done.

Thanks!

I have something similar to the above posted photo in both our F series cars. Of all the phone mounts I've used the placement and ease of use is the best so far. It is an imitation of the MINI click and drive set up. Also Cravenspeed makes some nice similar style units in metal.

My last F 56 had the click and drive already installed loved it my current F54 does not and I do not want to spend the $$$ on it because I feel like it is totally overprized so I was looking at the same mount as one of our members bought I just can not figure out how to install it since they always show them long screws in the picture.

It is actually easy to install. Under the speedometer there are two rubber round covers with a hole in the middle. Take a small screw and insert it in the hole. Turn to make it tight then pull out the plug. Repeat on the other side. Then remove the two screws they covered. At this point the speedo will be loose. Pull it forward. Remove the two screws in the back. Then use the two longer screws they supply to replace them holding the new phone holder in place.

I hope this helps.

On a side note, does anyone know how to change the wireless phone charger in the arm rest?

Thanks,

Cravenspeed makes some really nice stuff. Good luck with it. Kind of sorry I cheaped out on mine, but it was free.

This works great

SCOSCHE MAGDM MagicMount Universal Magnetic Phone -- note: since you put a slim magnet on the back of your phone, it will not work with wireless charger

Update on the CRAVENSPEED Gemini Mount...

It's fantastic! Only "complaint" would be sometimes the phone would shift on the magnetic mount. Needed to find the sweet spot between the case back and phone (mounted portrait and landscape) to minimize the movement over bumps (alway in SPORT mode).

It's pricey, but solid! Installation took 10-15 minutes and it pretty easy as long as you're careful removing the 3 electrical plugs when pressing the tabs and you don't over-tighten the new screws that come with the mount. Apparently the threads behind the tachometer are plastic.

Hope this helps anyone considering this mount.

Cheers!

Contacted CRAVENSPEED... They're sending me a new magnetic mount that's apparently stronger than the one originally sent. The one one has a white "CS" on it. Good on them!
