Hey i just booked my room, if you go to www.coppervacations.com you can find a nice room for a fair price, i found that this option was about 100 dollars cheaper then going to the resort for a room. i spent about 118 a night so i hope this info helps you out!! If you have any questions ill be sure to help you out!

Tommy, glad to see that you are ahead of the curve

When we open registration for MITM, we will post for the room block that we have reserved. You will see that you will have a number of choices, including some that will be less expensive than you have just booked.

There will also be some budget rooms avaialble for much, much less.

Please keep an eye open on or about April 29th...we expect to open registration at that time.

Thanks,

JPS

when you book a room thru copper resort on the internet site, or at least it was this way last year, its not like a normal hotel reservation with a 6 pm cancellation, etc. They are a leasing agent for the people who own those "condos"/rooms and you CAN'T CANCEL without penalty because it is like a lease. Read the fine print on their web site. I learned the hard way last year when we decided to leave mid-day instead of the next morning because of the wet weather. They wanted to still charge me for the extra night because I had "booked" it.

Still had a great time, however, and coming back for more.

Shannon, you need to post more often

and yes, plan to take whatever rides you want. Just have Lynne put Rick and I on the vol. list to staff the tent and you guys take off. We can hold our own and in we get in trouble, what the heck.

See you there.

I am thinking of donating the Dragon Wagon as a resting place by the registration. So Jonathan will have a place to snooze while working. This year I will have a room.

I am SO getting a room this year. I made a BIG error last year and crashed at my brothers place. What could be so bad about that you say? Nothing except it was in Denver and took me about an hour each morning to get to the resort. And going up and down the mountains made my head hurt. But I'll be damned if I don't go again this year!

Translated:

I am so sorry. You are right. Get a party suite at Copper and we will all join you there to drink your booze and eat your food.

Good idea. Invite your brother.

I was hoping that the flood gates would be opening today [4-29] for MITM registration/lodging before I jump on a plane today for a business trip...

Hopefully I will be there. I should be moving in to CU-Boulder right about that time so we'll see how it goes.

Your head is going to hurt more if you stay in Copper. Altitude affects you where you sleep... not where you are currently (besides being short of breathe every time you climb 3 or more stairs...)

I think I owe you a jar of P21S, but only if you show-up.
Congrats for being accepted at CU.

OK, all you Mountain Maniacs...

Registration has been delayed, but just a few days. There is another big annoiuncement coming and we had to allow for that.

Keep an eye out here...unlikely that we will open registration before the weekend....

Sorry about the delay, in a conversation with Rick and Mark it became apparent we needed to make an important change...

Thanks,

JPS

1075 miles from home in StL, headed to the Indy Motor Speedway Museum tomorrow, then to the Dragon...

JPS spending the night with Doug and Donna from www.AmericanMINIMates.com
