Very cool! My wife has been enjoying the MCa I handed over to her last month. She mostly likes the attention she gets as well as the ease of parking it. She hasn't driven the MCS yet though. She says she's afraid to.

What amazes me is that when I am driving it, I do not get the feeling I am in a little car since it is so roomy inside. When I walk up to it though, I say to myself--wow, that is so tiny . My husband is putting his Cosworth head in his '03 MSC today. This could get interesting......

Well, I spent the whole morning washing and waxing my 1 month-old baby today as well as putting on my plate and a couple of stickers (more stickers to be added soon). It was a labor of love even though my right shoulder will be killing me tomorrow (I have Bursitis (sp?)). It was made more fun by listening to a podcast of White Roof Radio and some assorted tunes. Anyway, here is another Flickr set of pics I took. They're not the greatest quality, I was just messing around with the camera.

That's funny you should mention this. I have to remind myself all the time how small the car really is! But boy does it gooooooo!!!!

Is Jim the type of guy that can get very frustrated very quickly? If so, I can relate!

If anyone is hearing any rattling in the rear boot, try turning the two rubber ***** that are on the inside--pretty large--cannot miss them--should tighen up the boot. Our "mini guy" says the latch is adjustable as well. Had my first rattle today and just a quick little turn of the rubber ***** and all is well. j.

Got some info. on adjusting the rear latch--apparently the adjustment is on the bottom panel--the two pins need to be removed and the adjustment can then be made. I was told it is not hard to do, but I am not a mechanic! j.

SteelersFan, any word on your billing situation?

RadioFlyer, sorry to hear about the phantom barn door. One of the Clubman's at my dealership had that problem and I couldn't figure out how to get it closed. Do the interior dome lights stay on with the door ajar?

Happy 4th of July! I finally passed the 900 mile mark today on my way home from the gym. Has anyone tried the UltraSport seat covers for keeping sweat off the seats? Someone at metroplexmini.org recommended them and I was wondering if anyone else knew anything about them.

1226 miles. I will start letting my Clubman out a bit more. I changed the oil because I am nervous about any swarf in the engine circulating.
After all the talk about the windshield washer fluid, I decided to pump out what I could. The if I add new, it will be pretty diluted. It certainly stinks. Smells as if it had a lot of solvent of some sort in in. I poured little dribs and drabs on some weeds. I'll let you know if it is really a weed killer and not a windshield cleaner.

Thanks. I'll take a look. I spent a little time with my license plate and frame, putting on some foam strips to make sure that wasn't the problem. It wasn't. I am pretty sure it's the latch because on the way home I stopped several times to adjust the rubber stops and got varying amounts of rattling but never got it to stop. Anyway, I'll try more things tomorrow.

Nothing on my payment. I'll call Monday morning. I'm just about at 900 miles myself. Never heard anything about the seat covers, sorry.

That's a great experiment. I'm betting it'll dissolve the dirt as well!!!

Well I "fixed" the loud rattle/clunking noise from the rear of BOTH of my cars! It seems that the boot latch hook wiggles around inside the latch and causes the noise. Here's the big fix (well, temp fix until I get into the the dealer to see if they can do a permanent one):

A piece of masking tape wrapped a couple times around the end of the hook.

It takes up the wiggle room thus removing the possibility of it moving around and hitting the latch.
Pretty hi tech, huh?
Ahhhhh, the sound of silence is soooooo nice!!!
