My car was stuck there (west coast VDC) for a few weeks, but it arrived at the dealership this morning, so they did start sending them out this week.

Both my JCW's have the piano black and have the checkerboard emblem, but the dealerships launch vehicle does not. Maybe they ran out at the factory and decided to ship without it???? I can tell you they are not stuck on with any precision, both of mine are crooked.

You mean the VDC? You can't get the JCW aero installed at the factory.

Unless he means the non-JCW factory aero.

And we want to see some JCW "Go-fast" parts from you!
It's nice to see your JCW car up on the rack.
What would be your first modifacation to
make it better/faster? Maybe by the time I get my car
in September you have some performance items.

Looks like you also have the old style logo on the doorsills. I sure hope they change to the new one (as shown on the MINI USA site) by the time mine is produced.

I can tell you what happend when they installed the JCW aero kit they also installed the door sills that came with the kit instead of the new style ones that came with the car.

If you click on some of the photos the car is on the rack.

LOTS OF CHANGES to the JCW. (mums the word, don't tell my competition so I can be first )

We should have items in Sept-Nov depending on what they are.

Thanks again!

Do our JCWs come with a certificate? I think this was done in the past. Can one of the ones that have already received theirs comment?

That makes sense. I haven't ordered the aero kit, so it shouldn't be an issue for me. If I do get it it'll have to be after the year end (bonus time), and probably not before I get back from the 12 Hours of Sebring next March. Hopefully by then, they are getting the doorsills right.

Having a mixture of old and new logos is just plain sloppy, IMHO.

I am visiting friends out in Oceanside California (Donna and Mike on here). Stopped by their local MINI dealer Brecht - 15 percent markup plus other schlock on it - $41,300. Holy Carp!!!

No you do not get a certificate. JCW Hardtop is a model on the MINI line not a numbered edition.

If people who got the old logo door sills are wondering what course of action to take then simply notify your MA. I notified mine and he got back to me the same day after speaking to the product manager who confirmed that the new logo side sills should be installed and he would ship them to my dealer ASAP. It's very simple to swap them out and don't take no for an answer as the mix of old and new logos on the car is just sloppy as someone has already pointed out.

Adam as a sidenote can you give us all some info on the specifics of the factory JCW exhaust? Size, cats, etc. Thanks!

The entry strips you see when you open your door and look down. It seems a lot of people who ordered the JCW Aero kit were given the old sills with the old JCW logo on them instead of the new sill with the new checkered design and new logo. In fact I bet they were shipped with the new sills and the morons at the VDC actually switched them out when installing the JCW Aero. Now I'm waiting for a new set to come from Germany according to my MA. Shouldn't be long though.

The MA is "Motoring Advisor"/salesman, post your pic here and I'll or someone will confirm which you have. There are no dumb questions you seek knowledge and others who have been here along time can pass it along. Cheers
