Nice car.
BTW: My dealer also said I can request a new set of the new style logo plates for the side sills and they will be coming no charge. DUH! So I of course ordered them!

I saw a JCW without the JCW Aero kit that my dealer was prepping. It has the correct door sills, and they look much better IMHO. This should not be an issue for me as I did not order the aero kit.

I have decided to get the chrome driving lights installed at the VDC. I hope that doesn't cause any issues.

Question.....

With this being the first thread on factory JCW's does anyone have a problem posting R55 Clubman pix and being able to gush with excitement here when mine is delivered this week? This is me gushing some now.

Can anyone also comment on how long it took for delivery when the owner's lounge estimates a delivery date? I have a ETA of this Thursday. I also know I have a day or two at the dealer with their options. I also know these dealers will be slammed trying to get all of these cars out by the end of the month.

This was the first thread and untill there are more out there I feel this is the best place. I believe I could be the first one here with one.

Comments?

As long as its a factory JCW car, I don't discriminate.

Post up some pics when you get her. The wait must be killing you. Hang in there.

Delivery depends on where your car is. Determine that and you'll be within a few day of knowing when your car arrives. A couple of us here had our cars held at VDC until the official release date so up until that point, I can't tell you.

Our ship is supposed to dock tomorrow, and my jcw is only going to south bay mini before it gets shipped up here, so I would assume the wait should be minimal, or at least I hope it is . Anyone have a quick run through the Hueneme VDC?

Please welcome the Factory JCW R55 Lightning Blue "Clubman"

Here she is
Take delivery tomorrow. Still have not drove it.
Holy S*** the exaust was amazing! Snap, crackle, burp, and fart.

Turned off all DST and sport on. It was amazing. Sat there and rev'd the engine.
My MA and I freaked out as to how cool it was.
She is getting strut brace, driving lights, sport stripe tomorrow.

Go to photo thread to view all photo's. Still figuring out how to insert a photo into this area. Do I need to become a paying member to do this?

More photo's tomorrow

I looked at VW R32's, A3 Type S, X6
I just loved the MINI R55 JCW. I started with a stock 67 Mustang "back in the day" and always wondered what it might of been like to get a Shelby GT 350 or 500 from the factory.
I think I just got one.....A MINI that is. Love the look and the community surrounding this car brand.

I really have appreciated all of the good advice on this thread as this car seemed hard to find out all of the details since it is so new.

I believe this is the only one in Charlotte...for now.

Break in advice? No more than 4000 RPM in any gear and vary the throttle to not run engine at constant RPM for long time?

My dealer installed the Aero Kit for me and they put the correct sills in, but I was thinkin of putting the illuminated JCW Sills on instead.

Also, Desert Mini in Vegas has a JCW and JCW Clubman available, both launch editions with $2500 JCW Market Adjustment stickers

Personally, I want to wait for the accessories parts to be updated with the new logo (for those that have them) before I start adding them. I don't want to mix logos. For example, I may get the JCW steering wheel, but will wait to get the bottom CF cover until it's updated.

Based on what I have read here, everyone that got the little checkerboard decal on the dash had it put on un even. Mine is the same way but as I look at it, I am wondering if it was put on level to the ground and just not matched to the interior trim lines. Unfortunately, here in Vegas I do not have any of my tools or access to my levels. Anyone want to take a level out and place it on line with the decal to see if my theory is right?

They are all available with the new logo right now. Talk to your parts department and they be able to tell you the part numbers for the parts with the new logos.

That's good to know, because I want to get the shifter right away. I didn't like the feel of the ball shifter when I test drove the demo JCW, but I did like the JCW shifter when I drove a MCS with the JCW upgrades.

That's sweet. I love the color. The contrasting black really sets it off. This is my wife's next car

Nice color combo! Begging for a suspension drop and tint!
