Can you tie off brake pad sensors

Hi,
I searched a bit but couldn't find the R60 specific answer.
I'm getting ready to change the pads on a 2015 Countryman JCW and am wondering if I can just zip tie the pad sensors out of the way (no warning lights).
TIA

The sensors are on their own wire and clip into the brake pad. If they are already tripped then you will probably need to short the wire somehow on your own to make the connection again. They can be tied back all the way to where there is a connector in the wheel well if you don't want them to ever trip again. If they aren't worn through yet, even though they say to replace them with the pads, you can reuse them. They are also pretty inexpensive.

My suggestion would be to get new sensors and wire them out of the way. An old, worn sensor will trigger the brake warning and not allow the service counter to be reset.

Or just wire the two old sensor wires together, tape it up, then tie them out of the way. I can't imagine why you'd buy new sensors just to not use them, even if they aren't very expensive aftermarket.
I did this on my 2013 JCW then reset the brake service light. No issues.
