External Lighting Warning Indicator

Wife's '13 Countryman S has this indicator on her dash ay start, then goes away. I checked ALL lights and all operate as expected...except for auto as it wasn't dark enough but not sure if that would change things. Any ideas??

It usually means there is a bulb connection that isn't working quite right. My left rear tail light did that. Gave it a hard knock and the warning light disappeared. Replaced the bulb and cleaned the contacts and it never came back.

You can also get that warning light that disappears if you have installed LED light bulbs. Despite what the ads say, they still seem to trigger the warning light while the light flickers a bit before it settles into working mode.

OK, I know it's not an LED issue since I haven't put any of those in but, I wouldn't doubt a connection issue. That does seem reasonable and easy enough to reseat some connectors. Thanx!

Scan your vehicle, it will tell you which circuit is the issue. They got little bulbs within other bulbs in the front.

Any bulb will bring this warning up. There are side marker ones front and rear sides as well as some in the front fog lamps.
