Warning lights in dash displays ? 2010 Mini

I thought that when the ignition was in the 'accessory' mode that I'd be able to see where the warning lights for low oil pressure and high temp would be in the dash display.

Am I missing something?

The lights don't come on until you turn the key to the 2nd "click". Oil pressure should be obvious. High temp light is the top bar of the the temp gauge, which lights up, but only briefly after the key is turned.
If you don't get the oil pressure light then look at the wiring to the sensor. A failed sensor can leak oil through the wiring harness and cause issues - sounds crazy but it happens.

Thanks for taking time to respond. Our Mini uses a Fob but I'm new to Mini's so I need help on where to look for the oil sensor. Would it look like one on a V8?

1. Your 2010 is GEN2 ..... you posted in GEN1 section .... significant differences .....

2. Did you get an owner's manual? Try this one .... https://www.minimania.com/pdfile/2009_MINI_Hardtop.pdf

no such lights on a gen 2. Pick up a scanguage II from one of our vendors, WMW is where I got mine already programmed for a mini. Then you can set it up to watch your temps.

Thanks, I didn't realize there was much of a difference between the years.

So on Gen2 vehicles, how do you determine if the oil pressure is acting up?

The scanguage will do oil pressure, I’m pretty sure bimmerlink will as well. You can do analog as well, I do believe there are kits for it out there, cravenspeed comes to mind here.
