Exclamation 2104 R60 12v Sockets

am I crazy? or is the 12v socket on these smaller than normal? It feels like the 12v device I plug in there pushes out or doesnt sit in there correctly. Is it a european/german thing? Should I be looking for an adapter?
tell me im nuts, but they just seem smaller.

The plug fits in the socket but the socket itself is not securely fastened to the trunk wall and sometimes pushes right thru. So unless someone has changed yours, that 12v socket is normal (for MINI).

I'll have to post a video when i get home from work or something. I have 4 diffrent types of 12v socket USB charger things and they all seem to spring-pop out of the socket.
I might need to find one with a "softer" spring.
