R60 CD formats?
I ripped a couple of CDs for my CMS4 and they didn't work; some played, some didn't. Not sure if that's because I bought the songs from iTunes and their format didn't play or what, but on a whim, I did the following, below...
The workaround for this was by going to OfficeMax and picking up a 64G thumb drive on sale for $16.99 (reg $39). I can fit a few thousand songs on the drive. Obvs it plugs into the USB port at the shifter base. Love it!
I still buy the occasional CD when a band comes out with something that I feel I need the physical copy of it, and play that in the MINI. New CDs have song title encoding which is nice but you can't read the CD and see what the next track is like you can when you use the USB music route.
Hope this helps!

Thanks.
Good idea. I just got a longer audio cord for my iPad which makes it easier to place it on the passenger seat while driving . It also lets me broadcast from my phone ( which is mounted on my steering wheel with Velcro).
I wish the Mini would allow Bluetooth broadcast in addition to phone calls.

I couldn't tell....
In any case. I have a 15 hour audio book I want to listen to in the car. With the help of a three ft. audio jack cord I was able to listen quite well.
Thanks.
i love listening to audio books while i drive, i've been doing it for about 15 years now. the single easiest way i've found to do it was using a cheap dedicated sansa mp3 player with the audio run to the aux plug. a little piece of dual lock to hold it onto the dash to be simple to reach.
