Good deal??

In the market for a CMS all4. I found a dealer by my house listing a 2014 for 23900. With cold weather pack and I believe premium package. The car was a lease return with 6000 miles. I Will try to get him to come down to 22500 but does 23900 sound like a good deal? The car has been listed for 90+ days according to the website and the price started at 26900.
This is my first post and I'm looking foward to the advice. thanks!

Post up some pics and cross ref against other sites like cars.com or ebay sold listings.

I'm sure you'll notice I don't post much but as a countryman owner do not get a manual transmission if possible. I have 20000 on my bought new 2012 and had the clutch replaced once with the updated clutch and other parts which felt like a totally different car after replacement but after 4000 mile it is starting to feel like the pedal is getting higher and higher for engagement so I'm starting to worry that it isn't going to last. I'm 52 driving since I was 17 and had over 12 vehicles in my lifetime with only 3 automatics so I know how to drive stick and by far this is the worst vehicle so far. I have ad so many friends and family that want one and I have to talk them out of it. My $0.02 for what its worth.

Seems like the 2011 and some 12' have the clutch issuse.

Some early CM had clutch issues. But is was for the All4 . Have not heard much on after the clutch was changed, think most were fine.

I have the S all4 and I'm sure the pedal is higher but keeping my fingers crossed that I have no problems. My 17 year old daughter is learning to drive and i would love to teach her to drive stick but I am so afraid of the clutch.

Should not be getting higher , might just be the clutch pressure plate getting used more and your foot is used to it. You have the updated part you should be fine. I would learn on another car then a CM unless she picks it up quick, the newer MINIs have a lighter easier clutch then the olders ones so its very easy to learn on one. If I were learning i would learn on a older car, so if something would happen your ok.

Thanks for the advice but it will have to be a automatic because the wife can't drive manual. I'm going to take my time and read up on this forum and make my decision after the new year. Thanks everyone!

Smart move. I rarely give my opinion in such matters but I just want people to have some true info when it comes to stuff like this. My neighbor just brought his in for a new clutch yesterday and he has the JCW countyman bought brand new at the end of 2013. The auto is fun had one for a loaner.

Rattled or burned up clutch on the JCW Countryman, first one I have heard since they updated the clutch part number.
