Some guy wearing a tuxedo and driving a Prius tagged my bike rack the other day.

Not too serious, most of the damage could be easily repaired with a handful of replacement parts.

However, MINI Dealer informs me they do not sell ALL replacement parts for this rack, just a selected few and NONE of the parts I actually need.

In other words, MINI's solution is to scrap this rack and buy a new one for over $700.

Ridiculous! Will start over with a Thule system before buying another unsupported accessory from MINI, and write this one off to 'lessons learned'.

However in the interest of repair for resale, I would like to know who makes these racks for MINI.

Thule I'm guessing, but cannot find any corroborating evidence.

Where they hit it, you sometimes cannot get the parts , this is the main bike rack part you ordered ?

I just bought a used bike rack (MINI rear mount for Countryman). My wife has a heavy electric bike that's much easier to load onto a rear rack than a roof rack.

I'm looking for parts as well. I'm looking for an owners manual and lock cylinders with keys.

Are the locks the same as Thule or Yakima or do I need to buy rack specific locks?
