Countryman Power

Hello,
Good night for everyone,
I have an Automatic Countryman S FWD
I am about to order a Jb+ from burgertunning and a NM torque arm insert from NM website.
My only concern is about the JB+... Are there some case where it doesnt work, or doesnt make difference in power?
And I alredy have some mods (conic air filter, turbo muffler delete, wastegaste adjust only 2 turns. Will the Jb+ adapt to these mods by itself?
Thank You,
Hope to get some help!

I sold mine recently. I had fun with it for a bit, but found that it didn't kick in early enough in the RPM range to suit my usual driving. Out on the highway it was awesome when some idiot was merging at 50 mph in a 70 zone and I need to pass at 80 to get clear. Since most of my driving is more local I didn't get enough chances to use it.

So depending on driving style you might be better off with a tune over the JB+.

Thank you for your reply!
I am not looking foward to gain a lot of hp,
just a little bit of oohmp,
but the difference with the jb+ is noticiable?
like, can you feel the car more powerful with it?

The Jb+ when I ran it on my R58S threw check engine codes every so often. Its noticeable power but I'd say spend an extra $200 and get a Manic stage 1 tune. More power than the JB+ but isn't too much for daily driving.

At first I wasn't sure if it was a placebo effect or if the JB+ really did something. Felt like it, but wasn't sure. After driving a nearly identical stock CMS I can say for sure it was a noticeable difference, because the stock S felt a little less aggressive.

I find the powerband comes on a little earlier, and a little stronger. Good for city driving, IMO. On the highway it still runs out of breath if you want to pass someone above 60mph. It goes, but not as eagerly. The JCW probably keeps going a bit more because of its bigger turbo.

Additionally, I didn't want to send out my DME, and have to do it again if there was an encoding update (though unlikely). Plug and play is definitely a factor for me.

Definitely understand about not wanting to ship your DME out!
Although I would suggest looking up Mario Palza, hes around the SoCal area and can sometimes travel to you to do the Manic tune. Your car wouldn't be out of commission for several days like it would if you sent the DME in.
Hes a great guy to deal with out there!

We've installed the JB+ Dozens of times without issue. It's a solid bump in power. If the car is working correctly, with good functioning sensors and proper gas, the JB4 will not throw codes.

My coupe has only had 93 octane, regular dealer visits for maintenance and never had issues with the car since I bought it. Had 2 check engine lights in the course of 6 months. Hooked it up to a scanner and it was throwing a code for the motor running lean. I know it wont happen to everyone but that has been my experience with it and a few other friends. For the money its was a great buy to tide me over till I got the mods up for the Manic tune.

I won't dispute your experience, I'm just saying that JB+ functions without causing DTCs on cars that are running correctly.
