Hi fellow Mini owners.
I just purchased a brand new 2015 CM ALL4S! The family loves it so far. It has Premium, Connected, heated seats and some other bits. We purchased it just yesterday for a what I thought was a great deal...$3500 off MSRP.
I'm a P-car nut, and was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and overall feel of the car. I don't think I will be able to pry it from my wife and daughters hands...O'well less use on my cars I guess.
We are having one issue with the bluetooth. The system will connect for telephone, but it doesn't actually pair. The "empty" slots all remain "empty" and no bluetooth functions are available other than phone calls. As soon as we shut off the car and restart, we have to reconnect manually. Anyone run into this before?
At any rate....It did happen!

Do you have Connected? If not, all the BT will do is enable hands-free calls. To stream music from your iPhone you can use the Y-cable. For Androids, I think you're limited to Aux or USB. Tune2Air makes a Bluetooth receiver that enables wireless streaming and controls via the steering wheel buttons. Works pretty well (I have one).
Not sure about the re-pairing. I've not had any issues like that.

Nice ride!
How far are you getting when you are pairing your phones and what kind of phones are you trying to pair?
This is the proper procedure:
- From the main menu, go to Telephone
- Scroll down to Bluetooth devices (you may have to tilt the joystick to the left to go back to find it
- This should bring you to where you can add devices. Before you try and pair though, tilt the joystick to the right to pull up Bluetooth options and select, Configure Bluetooth
- Make sure the boxes for Bluetooth, Audio, Office and Additional Telephone are checked, then tilt the joystick to the left to go back to the Add Device screen
- Click Add Device to put the MINI into pairing mode. From your device, go to the Settings then Bluetooth and scan for devices. Your MINI (MINIxxxxx) should appear - tap it.
- Your MINI will then prompt you to set up a passcode to pair. You can use whatever you want, but I use "0000" for iPhones and "1234" for Android phones. "0000" seems to not work as reliably on Android phones for whatever reason. Select "OK" when this is done.
- From your phone, enter the same passcode in and select "Pair" or "OK"
- If you have an Android phone, you will get two pop ups asking for permissions for your phone book. Make sure the "Do Not Ask Again" box is checked and click "yes" on both prompts (you may only see one, depending on your phone)
- That's it! Your MINI will say connecting and you should get a prompt on the MINI to select the functionality (Telephone, Audio, Additional telephone). Don't select Additional Telephone, but make sure Telephone and Audio are checked.
FINISHED! Your device should show as connected and should automatically connect every time you get in the car (provided you leave Bluetooth on on your phone)

Thanks folks, we love the color as well.
It does have the full Mini Connected package, so something is wrong, and I'm fairly confident it is not user error. I see online I can do an update. Since it is a new 2015, I'd hope it's not necessary since we are trying to pair IPhone 6, and 5S.
We're taking it for a road trip next week!

Nice CM! I hope it has the proper number of pedals, but if wife and daughter are involved, I'm guessing you had to make some sacrifices. Did you remove the All4 badges, or do they come like that now?
Thanks folks. Yes, the mini had the compromise of the steptronic:(, but that's OK. I have three other cars that are manuals to get that fix in.
I haven't had a chance to really check out the mini in detail yet. I'll get it up on my lift to see how easy or not easy things are.
The car came de-badged as one of the options.

Just noticed your in RI. I went to RISD.
Cool ...It is a great school I had a scholarship to go when I was only 15...and attended 2 summers. It was a special grant for which I was actually the sole recipient from the state. I of course felt very fortunate even at that age...it was a great experience.
We shall see. Porsche cars are extremely reliable. I've had a 2003 911 turbo for 5 years now and the only thing that has gone wrong is a window regulator, the alternator and a battery. My 964 is now 24 years old and still looks new. It has been the most reliable car I've owned. The down side is when something does go wrong it is not cheap......fingers still crossed!
LOL there was a discussion on one thread about the comparison of parts costs comparing Porsche / Mini, I had a 10 Boxster that I had purchased parts for and commented the same way that I thought they were more expensive to fix but someone else had mentioned the relativity to the expansive vehicles costs ...which after considering it was not that much off. I did not have any major problems with the Boxster but would have to say oil changes air filters, water pump etc.....not that far off from Mini.....and Dealership costs are along the same lines also.

P-Cars are project cars. Minis definitely qualify. By design.
Which reminds me of http://www.autoblog.com/2015/04/20/a...s-car-repairs/
Which is why I have a Mini (and all that entails).
