Going to pick up my 2015 Countryman All4 tomorrow! Any advice?

Tomorrow is the day I get to FINALLY pick up my 2015 Countryman All4 in Midnight Gray and I am super excited.

This is my first new car in a while and my first ever Mini. Do you guys have any suggestions about what I should expect or be alerted to when I'm at the dealership? Are they going to try and up sell me on anything? I feel that I have already gotten them down to a great price but is there anything I can/should ask for them to throw in?

Thanks in advance!

Bring a second set of eyes, check for dents and inspect the paint job. They will try to sell you all sort of things like tire and wheel insurance, extended warranty and paint protection.

Buy no extras - they are all just profit makers for the dealer. If I bought everything they offered, my monthly payment would have doubled! I am 9 months into the lease and I have not wished I bought any of it.

Fill it with 93 octane and keep under 4K rpms for the break in period.

Enjoy!

Congrats! Skip the wheel locks. Also the extended warranties can always be purchased later.

+1 on the octane. CM recommends 91 and CM JCW 93. Try to use ONLY top tier gasoline. I know this sounds strange but your manual recommends "To avoid harmful engine deposits, it is highly recommended to purchase gasoline from BP or top tier retailers" Especially with these direct engine engines prone to carbon build up.

Out here in CA a lot of the companies have 10% Methanol or Ethanol in their Gasoline and I haven't seen any with 93 octane. I know COSTCO gas has Ethanol in it. Shell Chevron, 76 are free of Ethanol. I run 91octane in wife 2011 Clubman it nice right because it is 2,39 a gallon or less for 91.

My salesman said MINI gives them $200 to throw around on each deal. Get them to toss in something you want.

I take delivery of mine next month, I'm not going to ask for much, a couple of the plush bulldogs for my kids and maybe a bag for my wife.

Congrats. Nice options, looks like the JCW Aero Body kit. Get some free dealership swag. Then if you need anything new you can find it with us.
