I am looking to get some exhaust tips to weld onto my stock exhaust. Could you tell me which you bought and the model number etc?

Any muffler shop should have a selection of tips for you to choose from. That is how I picked mine.
I also sent the tips to Sanderson Headers in South San Francisco to have them ceramic coated flat black. Cost about $90 but the coating will outlast the exhaust (i.e. never rust). If you go with powder coating it will start to flake off due to the heat. I'm sure if you look on the web you can find some place close to you.
Also they can not be very long as there is a bend in the pipe at about 8" back.

I have black 4" dimisa tips.

You can also paint your tips with plastidip to make them black. Looks great and it's cheap.

 

Will plastidip take the heat?

Yep. I was skeptical, but lots of people on this forum and others said it works fine. I dipped my wife's Clubman tips in the spring and they still look great.

Chrunck, any issues with the DiMisa tips , particularly the overall length , like Sdubya mentioned there's a bend soon after the chrome on the stock tip ends , waiting to hear back from DMisa , thought I'd ask someone who has done it

I didn't do the welding, so I don't know for sure. I originally had the tips on my stock exhaust and then moved over to the NM exhaust. The only complaint I got from the muffler shop was that they would have to weld in an intermediate piece to transition from the stock 2.5 in pipe to the larger tip and that the welds might look a little rough. I said who cares, it's under the car.

 

Ok , Thanks, DiMisa makes tips specific to the R60 , as they made them for a customer , I'll see what they say to my request

Oddly enough, powder coating is baked on using high heat. Mine have been fine for the last 20K+ miles.
