R60 interior issues

Anyone else having this sort of issue? Car is a CMS4 with 22k miles and a piece of the steering wheel flaked off, also the black color on the left wheel control is coming off. Anyone know if this is something my warranty would cover?

If you take pics with an iPhone (and possibly others), the picture is stored right side up (with respect to the image sensor) with instructions to be rotated when it is displayed. Some programs don't understand those instructions. If you're on a Mac, exporting the photo with iPhoto will fix it. If you're comfortable with the command line, http://www.sentex.net/~mwandel/jhead/ can fix it. There's probably a Windows tool for fixing it, but I don't know of it.

Absolutely should be covered under warranty.

I've seen a few threads on here from people with the same problem. The dealer will fix it for sure, or you can use it as an excuse to paint/wrap them in a different color.

I'm having the same exact issue. Good to know the dealer might cover.

I had/have the same issues with mine. The matte finish peeled off the bottom spoke of the steering wheel and was replaced under warranty with no questions asked. The 4-way buttons for cruise and audio are also showing small white marks like yours. I have not yet requested that they be replaced. My next oil change is in 1500 miles, so I'll ask when I take it in for that.

Also, I don't think it's only an R60 issue, since the wheel is used in all MINI models. I would assume that others are having the same problem.

Note that the shift **** is also peeling. You can hardly see that one, but the one on the steering column is for sure more noticeable.
