That's a snazzy Billet Oil Filter Cover. What are those ports for?

I love it. It bypasses the pcv heater so if you wanna keep the sensors you'd need to modify this one too, but with an occ I don't think it'll be an issue for me. I've gotten at least 1 more mpg, and I feel like boost comes on faster.

Temps have been crazy these past two weeks. Our weather channel doesn’t even know what to say to us in the morning anymore😂😂😂 This pic was 2 weeks ago, since then it’s been up and down. Xmas day was around 55f 😁 yesterday super sunny and 35f lol.
I installed the halos a while back just never posted it

That's more like it. 55 sounds nice -- it was about 0 F here on Christmas morning. My son wants to change the oil in his car. The propane heater will have to run a while to get the garage to a reasonable temperature.

yeah it hasn’t dropped anywhere near 0 here...thank god! At that point I would be running propane heaters all day lol.
I did an oil change on my girl’s car on Sunday right on the driveway and I’m due for mine as well so I’ll probably do that tomorrow, looks like it will be in the 40s 👍🏻

Finally got my winters on, Nokian Hakkapeliitta’s (225/45R18) mounted on some BMW X3 rims. Was getting a bit dark but here is a pic. I made a mistake on the center cap dimensions so have to re-order those, but like the look and the stance....offset makes them stick out a bit more but not excessive, and I like the exposure of the brakes which the stock rims don’t show that well.
For those interested the stock rims (7.5x18) are offset 52, the BMW X3 rims (8x18) are offset 42.

2015 Chili Red JCW with winters. Better pics tomorrow....

Looks great. This is the third season with Hakkapeliittas on my Countryman. They're amazing.

Yes they are great. I have had Blizzak's on another vehicle for a couple of winters and very happy with them, but I am favouring the Hak's a bit more. The only thing I hate about the Hak's is the spelling...have to look it up each time!

I copied and pasted from your post or I would have had to check the spelling. I had read good things about the Nokians for years so when we moved to Wisconsin, I wanted to give them a try. I put Blizzaks on my sons' cars. Can't go wrong with them either.

Installed an android head unit today

Took pictures of the whole process and made an instructional video (I couldn’t find one that was step by step) if anyone was looking to do the same
Video found here:

@Its Brittany B!tshh Which one is that? (link preferred)
How is the microphone? Did it force the crappy built one or did it actually use the mini's?
Last one I tried I had to de-solder off the built in mic as it was causing an echo. That and audio sounded muddled. Ended up tossing it after a couple months.
The one I had in there was the one with the KP/H ring (vs mph.. I could deal with *that* just not crappy audio) - usb didn't work either on that one.
Also does it use the mini's built in usb jack?

Appreciate it!

okay lets see if i can answer all this in order for you. The unit i bought is from CarNaviPlayer.com...I didn’t install the microphone that came with the android unit. I have made phone calls and my guess is that it uses the minis mic because people have told me they hear me loud and clear and i keep my phone next to me on the accessory track. This unit was upgraded to display MPH works flawlessly.the unit does not use the minis usb jack, it comes with 2 usb jacks you will have to run and place somewhere of your choice but I haven’t tried to use it as a charger yet (maybe it charges but it doesn’t read for sure) i have bavsound speakers in my mini and when i first turned up the music the bass almost blew my speakers so its a powerful unit and it throws out clear audio. If you need android link or apple play make sure you select in options.

Awesome. Thank you. I've been debating on that one or this one. (I'd get the colored ring like the oem navi ones with that one.. but cant find any real reviews on it.)
This is the one I had that was junk.

I have the bavsounds speakers as well and the difference between them and the stock was night and day, the last android unit I got was absolutely horrible. (linked above)
the loudness option is usually on those from the getgo, I had to turn it off as it was a little much.

ive gone through the whole internet and the carnaviplayer is the only one that had great reviews and also has great reviews on their customer service and so they were right. I have emailed them twice and both times they answered me by the end of the day and have answered with clear instructions. As far as I know it’s the only unit that really works. That other one you like looks cool too but I noticed it’s only the screen in the pics, does it come with its own radio part too? If not I wouldn’t trust it to work seamlessly with the mini radio and you might need to splice into wires for installation..idk. Just a thought.

I’m thinking I have to upgrade my bavsound speakers to something better now...I really thought they could take more power but definitely not lol

Toss those in with a good amp, replace the sub with another shallow 8" under the seat and you're golden. (you will have to do some trimming of the bracket under the seat but its worth it)

I put those in an r56 with an older JL amp and dsp and it sounded Friggin amazing.

My R60 didn’t come with the factory subs under the seats.....and I actually wired up everything I needed to install an amp and sub in back for the future when I installed the new radio I’m doing some research on new door speakers though.
