CMS Stripe question-Got Striped!

OK, I got stripes! The Mini style 2 on bonnet and 2 on boot.

Now for the question . . . the rear stripes didn't seem to be long enough or they were put on to low down. (I think) I believe the tops should meet with the chrome trim? If so where's a good place to get some white vinyl to fill the gap?

Thanks

Sorry I hate those boot stripes with a passion, it just looks cheap and nasty, they cut them badly around the Cooper S badge and they don't go all the way to the chrome strip; I can't understand why someone would waste there money on them.

+1 the cut around the badge looks very crooked

Well I'm going to take a bit of the leftover white vinyl and make the S white. Then it won't like so crooked because the S will stand out better. Once I get some sheet vinyl, I'll try and fill in the gap up top.

This is my first Mini so I'm a learner. (guess I should get my red L sign out?) :-)

Chubby, my Mini is in production now too with an estimated completion date of Feb 7th. Wonder if we'll get on the same boat on the way over....

For what its worth I put the same stripes on my boot. I kind of felt like the Countryman needed something on the rear. But I had major problems with the Cooper S badge and where if fell within the stripes. I saw people cutting all the way across both stripes, positioning the stripes so it only cut into the larger. In the end, (pun intended) I just de-badged the Cooper S and did not cut into the stripes. Option two was to place the Cooper S right back on top of the stripes. I still have the letters in case I decide to do that.

As for not reaching the chrome trim, it didn't bother me because it doesn't reach the trim on the bonnet either. my $.02.

Oh, here's a pic of my boot.

Do the rock formations look familiar?

Now that look really nice. Very clean.

So far I think I'm going to try and remove the right part of the stripe beyond the S which will give it a straighter look. Then buy one new stripe and replace this one and put the "CooperS over the top.

Thanks for all the thoughts. :-)

Overall looks good, but I agree on fixing the cutout some how. Either debadge and patch or redo the whole stripe or change the cutout to just look better.
Then you'll have a sexy rear end

I have an absolute black CMS All4. Been wondering if I should add stripes too? Does anyone know if matte black strips will look good on absolute black? If anyone has done it, would you mind sharing a picture?

I'm 2 weeks away of putting matte black stripes on my all black All4. I'll post pictures soon ! I think it'll look great
If you search around these places you'll find a couple matte black stripes on black All4 pics, not too common (just the way I like it)!

I do not have a Countryman but have a Clubman that has matte black checkers over the factory black top. See me gallery.

Nice touch - very subtle, but effective.

You are correct. But I was actually referring to the header on the top of this website upper right corner. Although I don't think there is a paved road where that rock is.

And thanks for the complement. Love taking pix of the Countryman. Sad isn't it?
