Cargo well dimensions for stroller

I hope someone can help me get the exact dimensions of the cargo well under the flat load floor. I really need them in inches so I can see if a baby jogger city mini or micro stroller would fit folded with wheels removed. It seems very similar in size based on just looking but I really need to know before buying the stroller. My countryman doesn't arrive until mid sept and I want to get the stroller during the labor day sales.

City micro folded - 30" x 20"x 6" wheels removed
City mini folded - 29.25" x 20" x 6.5" wheels removed

It would be great if it actually would fit! Thank you!

The well height is 7 1/2"

Width is 36" with a 17" depth at each side

The center 30" of the width has a depth of about 19 1/2" at the bottom and 20" at the top.

If there is enough give in the frame either of the strollers it may fit. Can you borrow one and take it to the dealer for a test?

Thank you for the info. I really don't know anyone personally who can lend me their baby jogger to test the fit. I think there is some potential that the stroller will fit but I really need to be sure before committing to buy it.

Does anyone have a baby jogger mini or micro they can check for fit in the well?? Thank you!

What about a local shop that might let you test fit it with them present?

younna: Can you fab something out of cardboard with the dimensions of the strollers and go to the MINI dealer?

can't help you with the stroller, but I can tell you that our BOB Revolution jogger fits in the luggage area with the seats up and the wheels on the BOB...just folded down. considering how big the BOB is...pretty sweet. Baby seat behind the passenge seat, my wife and I in the front and a spare seat for diaper bag and anything else.

That's an interesting idea...This might be possible if I can get something together to take to the dealer before my weekend trip away. It's going to take some planning since I'll have 2 kids (babysitting my nephew too) this week.

I'm very impressed that the CM fits a BOB jogger. I know it's quite beefy looking at the ones I see at Disneyland.

There's a thread on the main MINI board that says a BJ City Mini will fit in a regular Cooper. If you are looking at the single I think you'll have no problem in a CM. The BJCM has one of the best folds for the MINI dimensions, I think.

Now a double is a tighter fit. I'm trying to confirm a BJ Summit XC double will fit in a CM. But based on the dimensions above I believe it will, and that's significantly bigger than a City Mini Single.

BTW - The BJCM is a great stroller, I'd go with the Mini over the Micro based on the features. There are some great deals on AlbeeBaby right now.

I'm actually looking to see if the BJCM will fit in the cargo well under the flat load floor. Do you have a BJCM that you can try the fit for me in your CM? I'm hoping that without the wheels it'll fit. Thanks!

OK, got it, sorry I missed the under the floor part. Unfortunately I have neither so far. My CM is finishing production today and I don't have a BJ yet. Wish I had both, I would gladly try it out!

It would be really cool if it could be stored under there like a hidden stroller compartment. That would be a much better use of that space than a tire jack. Please post if you can make it work!

If you can make it fit I may just have to get a BJCM single as my new car stroller to keep stashed in there.

I have access to a City Elite. Looks pretty much the same size as the City Mini, with the exception of the wheels. I'll see if I can get you a picture, but it won't be until this weekend or early next week.

Let's see, based on BJ the City Elite is 33.5" x 20" 10.25" without wheels. Seems the width is the same as the BJCM so maybe if this fits the BJCM might?? I hope so! Please see if you can take the City Elite for a test fit. It will not fit depth wise but I'm more worried about the width anyways. Thank you for checking it out. Pics would be great!

I have the B.o.B. Stroller as well. AWESOME jogging stroller! And it fits just fine iny CM with the rear seats in the full aft (normal seating) position in the well with the stroller wheel attached.

As an avid runner (Houston 2012!) I can recommend the BoB for running alone. The fact that it fits in the CM is just gravy!

Does anyone have the Baby Jogger City Mini that can try to see if it'll fit in the cargo well under the flat floor? I'm still trying to keep this post alive as I look as well. Thanks!

I still don't have either, but I did stop in at a dealer this weekend to do my own measurements of the boot space. Since I was specifically looking for stroller fit I measured with the seats up, flat load floor up, assuming the bottom of the stroller would sit in the well. So the width is based on the size inside the cargo well, height is bottom of well to roof. Here's what I measured:

Total Boot Space: 36.5"w x37"h x 20"d
Depth below flat load floor: 7h
Shallowest depth where rear seat angles toward rear window: 13"d @ 22"h

Still looks like a tight fit but possible for the BMCM to go in the well flat. Your measurements are little different from whats on the BJ site, but probably because you measured with wheels off.

Thanks for checking the boot dimensions again. I really want to make sure the stroller will fit in the well with the lid closed. I wish I knew someone who has a BJCM. Ironic, cuz I see them everywhere! I am not giving up yet!

I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered a BJ City Mini. If it fits in the cargo well, great! If not, then I will still have a great stroller that will definitely fit in the boot. Thanks for everyone's input on the dimensions and pics. I will update when the stroller arrives and take it to my local mini dealer to try the fit.

It fits!

I got the BJCM stroller today so I went to my local mini dealer to try the fit. It fits perfectly! I removed the wheels, as expected, and was able to fit the stroller folded flat in one side of the cargo well and the 3 wheels on the other. I was able to close the boot cover over it easily. I was so excited and was running late to my next errand that I forgot to take some pictures.

If anyone is looking to maximize the CM boot space and need a stroller to fit then I definitely recomend the Baby Jogger City Mini.

Can't wait for my CM to arrive!

That's great news, thanks for the update.

Now I am very tempted to get one as a car stroller while they are on sale. I'm pretty sure the double Summit XC jogger I want will fit in there. But it would be nice to keep a single hidden below for quick trips. My Maclaren doesn't fit very well in a regular Mini and the BJCM is such a great stroller.

Enjoy!
