Are the front floor mats / floor liners for the R59 the same as a R56?
That is if a manufacture does not specifically list the R59 Roadster, but does list the R56 is there a strong possibility that the floor mats will fit?
Are there and dimensions in the foot wells that would prohibit a floor mat (floor liner) from fitting a R59 that do fit a R56?
I am looking for floor liners like husky / weathertech / aries / molded to fit basically, not simply lay flat style.
and this is just one example, I simply want to know in basic terms is there any difference of the floor area in FRONT of the FRONT seats that would deter/hinder the placement of floor liner R56 items in a R59.
The rubber form fitted floor mats are different ( weathertech ), because of the passneger upright front floor section added by MINI. For carpeted and rubber flexable mats they will fit. Same as the R56.
Wethertech has the from fitted mats and they have the front ones just for the R58 / R59 platform.
thanks for the reply. I am really not a fan of the weathertech style.. I listed the weathertech as an example of what I meant by floor liner. I believe this little quip "....because of the passenger upright front floor section added by MINI" is the part I was looking for.
Thus if I removed this added floor piece (I know I know knee safety) then R56 style floor liners ~should~ fit?

That added foot section for knee safety, I believe is also to keep the passenger seating further back for air bag deployment on the sharp angle of the window. I left mine in.

Ditto. My wife has never complained about the leg room.
yup same here, no issues. I'm 5'10. My wife is 5'9 and has long legs. We never had an issue with it... Thought I know some people like to put the seat back quite a bit which would force you to put the seat forward a little.
For something that has the raised sections like that, this may not be what you're looking for, but they're custom mats made to fit the vehicle you order them for. But if all else fails you can check them out if interested, lots of good reviews on them. Lloyd Mats here.
