Doesn't the dealer sell one? They usually cost more than third party ones, but fit the windshield exactly. That's what I would get.

Check an outfit called Canvas Works. They make customized sun shades they call Heat Shields that will fit your model. Had one for my 135 and now a new one for my JCW. Around $35. You can roll it and stores out of the way and doesn't take up much room. DISCLAIMER: I have no financial interest in the outfit--just a satisfied customer. Nick

Weathertech makes one. If it wasn't so expensive up here, I'd pick one up. The link below is for the US site. Weathertech Canada sells the same thing for $30 more. I guess they haven't realized our dollar is above par with the US dollar.

that Canvas Works Heat shield looks good for $35.00, but they don't list any Mini shades at all (got pretty much everybody else though....Browgward?, Iveco??, but no Mini????)
Geesh, weather tech is so overpriced on everything. I cant believe it would be that much better.

Specifically for MINI Cooper Countryman:

I got one of these for my 2011 MCS and am very pleased with quality and ease of use. It really DOES keep the vehicle cooler. Luckily for me both the vendor and I are located in CA. I ordered it one day and literally had it the NEXT. Might not be quite as quick to get to Texas, but the point is they ship QUICKLY.

It's under "BMW".

Got one. Use it every day. Very nice!

Thanks for the HeatShield recommendation guys! I've been looking at these off and on since the "official" MINI Countryman sun shade has yet to appear on these shores.

Only thing I was wondering is how much space they take when rolled up for storage. I've been using the type that have memory metal hoops covered with thin tent nylon and they fold up and store easily in the seatback pocket.

Thinking about decorating it with "Cars" eyes, whatcha think? :D lol

I had the same kind you have for my previous car. The HeatShield shade when rolled up is, IMO, still too big to fit in the seatback pocket. Rolled up it is approx 3"-4" in diameter and is a good foot and a half (at least) tall. I just lay mine in the footwell of the rear passenger seat so I can easily reach it when needed. When I have passengers in the back seat (very rare) I just move it to the boot area.

The "Cars" eyes would look cool.

That's exactly right - I got one for my CM4 right away and store it the same way. I live near Canvas Works and had them trim off a corner to clear my GPS mound when I picked up. They're great to work with.

The Countryman HeatShield is listed under BMW (go figure)...

Just an update there is an official sun shade for the MINI Countryman and MINI Paceman.

MINI Sun Shade Countryman / Paceman Part # 82110039342

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/82110039342/

It folds up very nicely and comes in a seal-able vinyl gray pouch when you don't have to use it. Reflective gray material with MINI logo in the center.

Thanks
