Hello all, I purchased my first MINI, a 2011 Cooper S Countryman All4 in Surf Blue/white about a month ago and figured it's time I join up! The CM will be my daily driver, replacing a 2006 Subaru Forester XT I'd owned for about 4 years. So far I'm really loving the improved handling and MPG over my last ride! And that Sport button....





I was drawn to MINI by my longtime BMW obsession and through good word of mouth from several Cooper/Clubman owners I've come across. My other car is a 1984 Euro-spec BMW 635CSi which I've had for about 3 years and gets a lot of pampering!



I kinda have a thing for blue cars! Some of the spec details on my MINI are as follows:

That's awesome! Welcome to the club! I should be getting my Surf Blue CMS sometime this September, and I can't wait.

My All4 has a suntan. MINI calls it Cosmic Blue and I'm loving it.

I am going surf blue with the white top. And looking at your picture, now I am thinking Anthracite wheels would have been cool. I went with silver. Always something.

 

I went with the white wheels. I am picking up mine tomorrow in Surf Blue as well.

I actually drove to Chicago to get my car just because I wanted one with the Anthracite wheels and the Surf Blue car in St. Louis had the silver

Nice Car! I'm wondering if the All4 can send 100% or 50% to the rear wheels? I've read in some reviews 100%, some said 50%.......

what's the actualy correct %. thanks

 

Syck - sorry it took me this long to respond - I travel for a living and my little ones take up alot (all) of my free time, it has taken me this long to access the paperwork from the "tint store"... Anyway, 35% in the front 2 sides - 5% all other windows and both sun roof panels...

And John, thanks for the nice comments. If there was a Silver ALL4, Manuel, w/premium ANYWHERE w/in 1000 miles of Houston I would've owned that one... I was looking for a while. My MA called when the person that ordered this Surf Blue backed out. Bought it the next day - got $1150 off MSRP and also used that $1000 MINI rocks voucher... Plus they gave me a whopping $2200 more in my trade than Carmax (I think they goofed) Deal was way to good to pass... I get compliments on the color all the time...

Oooh I really like your 635CSI, super nice car, I've been looking for an M635 for a while, they are like hens teeth in Europe, the only ones you can find are complete wrecks or concors condition.

 

Thanks! I completely understand about the condition gap. My prior E24 was more of a basket case I tried to nurse back to health, I learned quickly to pay more for a good one and keep it maintained. Good luck in your search!
