I ordered Sept. 7th, two weeks before you and from all my MA can tell me is it's still waiting on a boat. I'm in the B'ham, AL area, so we'll have the same port.

Now where's that support group!!!

I finally got an update. After "Ask Mini" has said waiting at port for the past two weeks it finally changed to "In Route" today. So I called my MA and he said it's scheduled to be in Brunswick, GA on Nov. 2. I have looked at K-Lines schedule and WWL and I can't make heads or tails on which ship it might be on. K-Line shows the California Highway for Nov, 2 but that chart says that is a sail date....what the heck does that mean.

Either way, it a move in the right direction.....I'm excited!

K-Line schedule shows that California Highway left Bremerhaven on October 20th and will arrive in Brunswick on Nov 2nd. The top of the page are the return trips from the US to Europe, if you scroll down almost at the end of the page it shows the trips from Europe to the US.

Bmtespar, looks like we are on the same ship. But, your closer to the port. I think mine will pass through Atlanta tho.

Here is the California Highway at the moment, zoom out and you can see better where it's at..

Hey everyone! Ordered a base MINI Countryman yesterday. I'm a previous MINI owner ('04 Cooper) that went to a '07 VW GLI. The GLI is a great car, but I wanted something bigger. I had a choice to order a loaded Countryman or basically a stock Countryman S. I was happy with the peppyness of the Cooper, so I decided to go with that:

Manual
MINI Connected
Xenon
Sport Seats
Rear Spoiler
Fog Lamps
DTC

And a few other accessories. I'm pretty excited and the salesman told me it'd be 6-8 weeks before it would arrive. After I put a deposit down and filled out a few pages of paper work, I was on my way. Now after reading a few posts on this site, a lot of people are getting 'production numbers'? Was I supposed to get one of these?

You'll get one eventually--anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks after you place your order, depending on when your car gets scheduled for production. Your MA should email or call you with it when he gets it. Congrats on your new Countryman!

ETA: If you see my sig, it took me a lot longer than most people to get a production number because I ordered bench seats & they don't go into production until November. It's usually not a month for most people!

You are welcome.

I found out today that my Countryman is on the California Highway!!! I have a copy of a screen shot of the sales managers computer that shows my ven number and other info plus the name of the ship/port and such. Now I'm even more excited!!

It also shows that my car is a Priority 1, which should help it get out of the VDC faster.

ZATCHB! I got my production number on the piece of paper that stated all the options and add-ons I was getting on the day I ordered it, as well as the VIN#. Look at the top of the list of specs on your car, it should be there. Now you need to be patient!! Patient!!PATIENT!!. I am still waiting for mine, even though now it is at the Port 1/2 hour away from my house!

My dealer said mines on the boat. I have not been tracking it myself to keep me from going nuts. But there is supposed to be a boat load landing in Halifax soon....anyone know when?

Mine got to the distribution center on 10/20/11 and it got to the dealer today 10/27. I am picking her up tomorrow at 11:30. By the way it was also a Priorty 1, any car that is already sold is a Priority 1. The dealer told me anywhere from 2 days to a week, well it was a week!

So what is current ship time from order? The Smart Car is (sadly) no more and I may move up my Countryman order to this weekend.

That is great news! Our car was supposed to be at the distribution center on the 26th. My MA at Bob Smith told me last night, her system still says in transit. I know that it only takes about one day to unload the ship. So I hope it is actually in!

Great looking all white. Be sure and post more pictures with the stripes. It's nice to see one with the red color line on the inside....since that's how I ordered mine :-)

Nice Weston! Is your dealer applying the red striping? My dealer said something about having them installed "at port"? I'm getting the red mirror caps and intakes too. Can't wait to see more pictures of yours!

She's ready for pick-up! After two long months, tomorrow morning I pick up Luna from the dealer. I am beyond stoked! My MA sent me these photos after she came out of the tint shop today.

Okay, if these don't show up, hopefully they are in the Gallery. I tried to follow the directions for posting photos, but I haven't had a good technology day...even the thumbnails don't show, but when you click on them, the pictures are there. Ugh.

Interior and daylight pictures to follow.
It was pouring in South Florida last night so my daughter's first drive was under torrential rain.
No weather was powerful enough to remove that constant grin from her face.

I got a call from my MA just now, our car is at the dealer and can be picked up tonight! I don't know how it got to the dealer so fast, after all it only came into the port on the 26th. I guess this makes up for my JCW two years ago.
