My CM has been waiting transport 3 weeks now. Has anyone else ever waited this long for transport?

 

that's great news. i ordered several weeks ago and no VIN for me, although i was told yesterday that "mine should be next". so not really sure, how one car can be ordered several days ago and have a VIN and another ordered weeks ago and not have a VIN yet...although mine is an automatic so perhaps they are taking a little longer (i did not get mini connect, so that should not be a factor)

It's the Bench seat that's slowing ours down. :(

 

that's a bummer....hopefully the delay won't be excessive.

 

Mine now show "Scheduled for Production" as of yesterday and has a VIN #. Rear Bench with Auto Trans along with a bunch of options. It's not listing any factory installed options under the review order detail. Is that something that takes a little time to update? It showed all the options before it changed status.

Bostonterrier, I ordered my bench CM in mid-September, so I think you won't be too far behind me production-wise. If you ordered in early-mid October, I bet yours gets started this coming week! I think they're trying to get caught up on the bench seat orders as quickly as they can now that the production run has started.

My MA emailed me this afternoon. My OL is WAY behind--it's still showing "on order." So don't be discouraged!

We'll see Lauren. I've changed my mind so many times about what I want in my Countryman. My husband just keeps laughing at me. He has a BMW M3 and got to order his to the specifications he wanted and is excited that I'll get to do the same. I wish there were more pictures of the interior of the car, with the different color lines and mood lighting.

Can't wait to see pictures of Mickey!

 

Just got the email today from the MA!!! Car is in production and I got my VIN

 

Have you called your MA? It may already be on a boat but the info at Ask Mini and the OL is not updating. (My car has been on a boat since 10/13 and the OL says it is waiting transport.) I will cross my fingers for you.

 

So it took about 1 week from the order date to the OL status updating to "Scheduled for production." Really exciting. Should I expect any updates between this status and the "awaiting delivery" status?

That is GREAT NEWS!!! I was told it was scheduled to arrive tomorrow but then it was delayed. Now I/we might get it sooner?!?!?

Excited to pick up my MINI on Monday!!! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself!

 

i'm envisioning a Mini HoverMan in 2021...lol congrats by the way on your purchase.

 

Since it docked in the late afternoon, I doubt our cars will be processed any faster. I think it was late to the Panama Canal, but no delays since.

(I traded in my fully loaded 06 Honda Element when I ordered the CM. I have been driving my husband's 03 Honda Pilot with over 125k miles on it (he has a work car and Pilot has been mostly sitting for the last 4 years.) I don't hate the Pilot, but it is just too big for my comfort. The end is now in sight.)

Now at 4 weeks and she's still waiting transport. My MA tells me there's some sort of "world wide" shipping problem and yet I see others on this site that ordered same day as me, 10/01/11, and are now taking delivery of their CM on Monday. My baby is still sitting at port
Has anyone waited this long?? Anyone heard of this "world wide" shipping problem?

 

The build on my CMS started on 11/2 and it is right now on the ship in the English Channel. Doesn't sound like there is a "world wide shipping problem". If there was we would have heard about it because lots of other goods would be affected, not just MINI's.

 

I am so Pissed off right now that my CM is still waiting.

Hard to imagine that it would be waiting for a ship for four weeks, but I've seen other posting here that said the same thing. I don't recall now if they were all CM's though.
